Status of Delta‐DOR‐related activities in JAXA

Hiroshi Takeuchi(ISAS/JAXA)

1 Recent activities in JAXA • A new receiver which has a 10GbE realtime output function of the RDEF files was simultaneously used for the JAXA‐JPL DDOR sessions. Recorded files were compared with those by the conventional system. Preliminary comparison result is good. • Maximum output rate: 4Gbps(32MHz bandwidth x 4bit x 16 ch) • IF Input:1Gsamples/sec x 4ch • Development of a software which generates from aservice request to JAXA internal configuration files was finished, and operationally used in the ‐2 DDOR sessions. All of the related files(Antenna predict, DDOR RDEF observation file, receiver setting file) are automatically generated from the service request and trajectory OEM files. • Upgrading JAXA’s correlator to handle PROCYON’s sweeping tone scans • JAXA‐ JPL data exchange environment was established. • Achieved network performance for the Hayabusa2 sessions Usuda to JPL: 14.7Mbps Between JPL and ISAS(Sagamihara):36 ‐60 Mbps • JAXA –ESA data exchange environment will be established very soon.

2 Recent activities in JAXA • All of the models used for the JAXA’s deep‐space determination software was upgraded to 10pico seconds level in order to properly use DDOR observables. • Now implementing DDOR‐rate observables, and spacecraft‐spacecraft relative DDOR function (estimating 12 elements) for the PROCYON.

• Multi agency Delta‐DOR measurements(among JPL,ESA,JAXA) performed for Hayabusa‐2 and PROCYON. • Delta‐DOR support for the JPL InSight mission will be performed under a specific LOA. • Delta‐DOR cross‐support capability with ESA will be demonstrated by the Hayabusa‐2 data for BepiColombo. • JPL‐JAXA PROCYON Delta‐DOR measurements are planned on a weekly basis, but the frequency should be lessened due to malfunctions of the spacecraft. • JPL –JAXA mixed‐baseline Delta‐DOR measurements will be performed for the Hayaubsa2 before the swing‐by in December. • JPL will support Delta‐DOR for the PLANET‐C before the VOI in December. A few mixed‐baseline Delta‐DOR measurements will be performed.
