I. SUMMARY
Turkish Red Crescent Society continues its aid activities for decades for Palestine, finally launched a humanitarian relief operation towards Gaza Strip as a result of the tension rise between Israel and Palestine at the end of 2008.
The scope of the operations comprises of periodical shipment of relief supplies and various projects of rehabilitation period.
II. EMERGENCY RELIEF
With the slogan of “Don’t let Gaza Cry” campaign Turkish Red Crescent have shipped a total of 2.285 tones of humanitarian aid consisting of food, pharmaceutical and medical supplies, blanket and other hygiene material through Kerem Shalom border crossing and Rafah border gate. Distributions of the shipped materials have been realized by Turkish Red Crescent teams in the field.
Furthermore, Palestinian wounded and sick patients that cannot be treated in the area were bought to Turkey and taken a close interest in their treatments.
III. REHABILITATION PERIOD
In order to facilitate the coordination of activities and assistance currently ongoing in the region, Turkish Red Crescent opened 2 offices in both Jerusalem and Gaza Strip.
In July 2009, a land allocation in Ramallah city has been made to Turkish Red Crescent by Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas after the official application to establish “Turkish Red Crescent Permanent Service Center”.
A - GAZA STRIP POTABLE WATER REHABILITATION PROJECT
Due to inadequate and damaged water infrastructure of the Gaza Strip, Turkish Red Crescent carried out 6 sub projects amounting 3.35 million USD which will cover 80% of the current water infrastructure of the Gaza Strip.

B -GAZA STRIP PLANTING PROJECT
In total 6.624 saplings were planted for 100 families whose farmlands were destroyed.
C- GAZA STRIP AGRICULTURE PROJECTS
According to protocols signed between Turkish Red Crescent and Islamic Development Bank 3 agricultural projects including vegetable and fruit planting, installation of irrigation systems and general material support have been conducted in the Gaza Strip.

4 IV. COORDINATION AND PARTNERSHIPS
In order to promote production in Palestine, Turkish Red Crescent transferred 762.000 USD worth of fabric which was donated by Turkish Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities.
Turkish Red Crescent also handed over 230.154 USD worth of medicine to Palestine which is a donation of Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA).
