31st Annual LORAN E. HANSON FISHING DERBY SATURDAY May 22, 2021

AGES 15 AND UNDER FREE pre-registration is required, to allow for social distancing. Time slots are 8:00am - 9:15am; 9:30am - 10:45am; and 11:00am - 12:15pm. Reserve your spot at www.peterboroughrec.com or by calling the PRD at 924-8080. If a reservation is unclaimed after the first 20 minutes, we will take walk-ins to fill available spots.

LOCATION: From Route 136, turn onto Gulf Road, Peterborough Dubois Horse Farm—pond is on the left RULES: 1. Adults must stay with children under 12 for the duration of the day – the kids, however, need to do the actual fishing. 2. Masks are required when six feet social distancing cannot be maintained. 3. Each child entering the derby may catch and keep 3 fish only. 4. No one older than 15 allowed to fish during the derby. 5. No more than one rod per child. 6. No boats, canoes, waders, etc. will be allowed in the water; fishing is from the shore and along the road only. No one will be allowed on the other side of the pond. 7. Fish MUST be checked in as soon as they are caught. 8. Adults may help with the casting and the netting of the fish. 9. Fish may be caught with flies, worms, and artificial lures or salmon eggs. 10. Fish must be caught by legal means only. No snagging, culling, or netting the fish. 11. Please do not leave trash or fish remains on or around the water. 12. Please release the fish immediately after checking them in if you do not plan to eat them.
