Maiden England Tour -Olympiastadion KONSERTTIMATKA HELSINKIIN La–Su 20.–21.07.2013 (2pv) IRON MAIDEN : Maiden England Tour - Olympiastadion Matkaohjelma: La 20.07. Lähtö oheisen aikataulun mukaan linja-autolla Helsinkiin. Matkan varrella pidetään virkistäviä tauko- ja. Noin klo 15.00 saapuminen Helsinkiin, jossa majoittuminen Scandic Continentaliin Mannerheimin- tiellä. Omatoiminen siirtyminen Olympiastadionille (matkaa reilu 1km). Klo 16.00 aukeavat Olympiastadionin portit. Iron Maiden lämppäreinä alkutietojen mukaan nähdään Bullet For My Valentine, Sabaton ja Ghost. Tarkkaan kellonaikaa Iron Maidenin aloitusajalle ei ole. ”Tuleva MAIDEN ENGLAND TOUR on yksi virstanpylväistä Iron Maidenin pitkällä uralla. Yksi vastaavantyyppinen virstanpyl- väs on bändin mukaan vuoden 2004 The Early Days DVD ja sitä seurannut Early Days -kiertue vuonna 2005. Seuraava sa- mantyyppinen jakso seurasi vuonna 2008 Live After Death DVD:n muodossa sekä uraauurtavalla Somewhere Back In Time World Tourilla vuosina 2008 ja 2009. Kyseisellä kiertueella bändi esiintyi yli kahdelle miljoonalle fanille lähes 40 maassa ja lenteli mannerten välejä kustomoidulla Boeing 757 -lentokoneella, joka on nimetty Ed Force Oneksi, ja jota lensi yhtyeen lau- laja Bruce Dickinson. MAIDEN ENGLAND -kiertueella yhtye luo uudelleen vuoden 1988 Seventh Son -kiertueen lavashow’n ja soittaa useita biisejä vuoden 1989 legendaariselta live-VHS:ltä ”Maiden England”, jolta tuleva kiertue sai nimensäkin.” Tie- dot: www.lippupalvelu.fi Paluu omatoimisesti hotelliin.     Iron Maiden – Live After Death DVD Review By Michael Makuch 3/9/08 I just purchased a blast from the past in the form of Iron Maiden’s “Live After Death” DVD. For the first time in over 20 years this live show documents Maiden’s seminal Powerslave Tour. I used to have a VHS copy many years ago and I haven’t seen the show for many years so it is a treat to be able to own this treasure of a concert film in a high quality DVD format. In fact, this is the first time this concert has been available in any format since it was originally released in the mid 80’s. “Live After Death” is a 2 DVD set and is affordably priced at around $15. The first disc is the original concert while disc 2 contains documentaries, rare live footage, a picture gallery and two promo videos from the Powerslave album. The set beautifully reproduces the graphics and contains a decent booklet, which is a rarity in most DVD packages. We’ve all come a long way from the time I found a busted cassette of “Live After Death” (no doubt tossed from a car in a fit of disgust with regard to the thin tape used in ‘double length’ single cassettes and their ability to bind easily with in-dash cassette players), that needed some reconstructive work that required a risky tape transplant to another tape body and razor sharp splicing to resurrect the music contained therein, to the point where I now possess said concert on CD audio and, now, DVD video formats I couldn’t have conceived of in the old days! The music itself, of course, is timeless.

Our aim is to demonstrate that the lyrics to Maiden’s songs stand out in the Heavy Metal scenario (whose lyrics usually have as subject matters Satanism, sex, drinking, and drug abuse). Avoiding these commonplace topics, Steve Harris, the main songwriter in the group, invests in more elaborate lyrics, either inspired by literary works or about historical themes. In fact, there are so many songs in the band’s discography that deal with historical themes that it is even possible to draw a timeline that stems from Pre-History and reaches The Second World War. While our analytical approach tends to focus on the lyrics, it will not ignore some aspects that are crucial to a better understanding of songs, namely the strictly musical elements (melody, harmony, rhythm, arrangement, etc.), and performance. La segunda parte prosiguió en el 2008 con el DVD “ Live After Death ” y embarcándose en el innovador “Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008/9” que fué presenciado por más de dos millones de fans en casi 40 países y para los cuales volaban de show en show y de continente en continente en el personalizado Boeing 757 bautizado “Ed Force One” piloteado por el vocalista de la banda Bruce Dickinson y cubierto completamente por el DVD “ Vuelo 666 ”. Ahora MAIDEN ENGLAND encuentra a la banda recreando el set del show “ Seventh Son Tour ” realizado en 1988 y tocando varias canciones de aquel tour legendario y del concierto de 1989 que dio titulo al VHS “ Maiden England ”, que presta su nombre a este tour y fue relanzado en DVD por primera vez el 25 de Marzo de 2013.
