Lutherlyn Equestrian Center - Riding Day Camp Driving Directions & What to Bring

Typically we’ll spend each morning focused on equine knowledge and skills, which will include both mounted and unmounted lessons. After lunch in Lutherlyn’s Dining Hall we will enjoy fun camp activities like crafts, swimming, and games. If weather permits, one lunch will be a cookout!

All riders are required to wear (or riding breeches), , and a . (Don’t worry if you don’t have boots or a helmet, you can borrow them from us.) Campers may change after riding activities conclude each morning. and are permitted for non-equine activities but all must remain securely on the feet. Flip-flops and on that easily fall off are not permitted. Any sandals must have backs on them and will not be suitable for some activities.

What to bring:  Swim & towel  Sweatshirt or light  Water Bottle  Sunscreen SPF 15 or higher  Rain gear  A change of clothes (for after riding)  Bug Spray  Tennis shoes &  Backpack/small duffel – to keep your stuff in

Additional Items: If you would like, you may bring apples or carrots (cut in small pieces) as treats for the .

Arrival Time: Arrive to the Lutherlyn Equestrian Center by 9:00 am each day. Please make every effort to be on time. Everyone should arrive dressed for riding (with jeans or riding breeches) and appropriately for the weather. We also suggest everyone arrive already wearing sunscreen. Each student must have a completed Health History Form and Riding Release upon arrival on Monday.

Departure Time: Departure is at 3:00 p.m.

Location: The Lutherlyn Equestrian Center is located at 131 Adventure Lane, Butler PA 16001. Please use this address for direction apps or mapping programs. DO NOT type in “Lutherlyn” – it will not bring you to the correct entrance.

Directions: We are located approximately 8.2 miles east of route 79 on route 422. Turn right onto Dick Road (at 84 Lumber). Travel approximately 1.5 miles and make a right on Adventure Lane. (There is an “Equestrian Center” sign beside the lane.) If you pass a large “Lutherlyn” sign on Dick Road you have traveled about a quarter mile too far.
