The SPRING Virtual Business Scholarship Challenge. Are KRHS students ready to compete with Virtual Business simulations and earn a sizable scholarship? The annual Virtual Business Scholarship Challenge will be launching in a few weeks. Scholarship prizes worth more than $5,000 are available to all 9th-12th grade KRHS students. Get ready to show your Virtual Business skills. Just email Mrs. Illiff for details. Here’s what you need to know: When: April 5 – 16 What: Students will log on and compete to reach a specific goal in the Virtual Business - Entrepreneurship simulation.

Why: Top winners of the competition will receive sizable scholarship awards from Knowledge Matters.

SPORTS

Last night the Wrestling team opened their season against Belvidere High School. The J.V. team tied 18 to 18. Cougar pins were recorded by Reece Smith, Griffin Reilly and Fox Butler. The Varsity beat Belvidere 53 to 27. Connor Hana won by forfeit with Shane Nelson winning by technical fall. Cougar Pins were recorded by Liliana Zaku - Ramos, Chris Casale, Bryce Coesfeld, Patrick Franco, Steven Dalling, Brycen Mafaro, and Jackson Crawn. Congratulations to all who wrestled and good luck home this Friday against Morris Hills. 5 o'clock J.V.s and 6 o'clock Varsity. It will be livestreamed.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Swim Teams on their big wins against Vernon tonight. The Girls beat the Vikings 112-58 and continue their 5-0 winning streak. The Boys won 118-31 and are now 4-1.

Cougar First Places were earned by Hannah Calderon, Josh Langley, Jordan Maruska, Luke Riva, Molly Riva, Freddie Robins, Billy Ruddy, Clare Schwartz, and Cooper Waldo. Great job everyone! Next up, Pope John on Saturday...

SPORTS/ACTIVITES

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Swim Teams on their decisive wins against Hackettstown last night. The Girls sank the Tigers 122-40 and advance their undefeated record to 4-0. The Boys won 116-46 and are now 3-1.

Cougar First Places were earned by Hannah Calderon; Josh Langley; Jordan Maruska; Justin Newell; Billy Ruddy; Clare Schwartz ; Cooper Waldo; and Emma Waldron.

A special congratulations to Clare Schwartz for setting a new school record in the 100 Back with a new time of 1:02.44. Great job everyone! Next up, Vernon at home on Tuesday...

Exciting news in FBLA! The following students have advanced to the FBLA NJ State Leadership Conference with the chance of advancing to the FBLA National Conference. Student rankings within their content area: 1st Michael Mauro 1st Reagan DeCaro 2nd Victoria Takach 3rd Erika McCarthy 6th Jeremiah Eurie 6th Danielle Kovach 9th BrandonTheobald

The rest our students/competitors were so close to advancing to states. It was a nail biter!

FBLA New Jersey State Competition:

ALL 7 regional place winners listed above will be competing this month remotely at the New Jersey State Leadership Conference. Once all students have competed, results will be provided during a live remote awards ceremony! Wish them luck!
