ABOUT CYRIL & BLAKESLEY CHAPPELLET Moving to a home in the middle of the vineyards on Pritchard Hill when he was 10 years old, Cyril Chappellet, the eldest son of Molly and Donn Chappellet was encouraged to make his own career choices and explore life away from the family business. After studying farm management at Cal Poly and business at Pepperdine University, Cyril began his career in corporate planning and acquisitions. In 1988, with nearly 10 years of business experience under his belt, Cyril returned to the winery, excited by the challenges Chappellet faced in an ever-changing industry. Cyril, now CEO of Chappellet, says his goal is “to continue what my father started, making extraordinary wines that express the unique growing conditions of Pritchard Hill.” His wife Blakesley, a marketing professional, lifestyle author and philanthropist, serves on the boards of four not- for-profit foundations.
