Startup Rally
The final of the competition of innovative developments in the field of new drugs and medical devices “Startup Rally” was held. Medical projects from 11 regions of the Russian Federation were presented by 36 finalist teams.
This year, Bayer supported the creation of a special nomination “Nuclear medicine: the best project in the field of radionuclide medicine”. The nomination winner was the “KARP-Khem, 153Sm” project, a domestic radiopharmaceutical drug based on emitting samarium-153 in a heat-sensitive medium for brachytherapy of tumors of various localization from Obninsk. The project will receive consulting support within the framework of the “CoLaborator” research incubator and a grant of up to 25,000 euros from Bayer.
In the nomination “Pharmaceuticals and Laboratory Diagnostics”, the first place was given to the project from Moscow “Diagnosis of oncological diseases by analysis of DNA circulating in blood plasma” (a unique technology that allows detecting cancer of the early stages on the basis of blood plasma analysis without DNA isolation). In the nomination “Medical devices and digital solutions”, the well-known platform project “Platform technology of intellectual solutions for people with disabilities with sensory impairments” won first place.
