rganizado por el Inspector de Edifi cios Peter Blanchette, bajo el liderazgo del Comisionado de Servicios de Inspección Myles Burke, el Departamento de OConstrucción organizó una exposición detallada de todos los servicios que provee el departamento los cuales se han estado mostrando durante la semana del 5 al 10 de mayo. En esta edición estamos reportando los detalles del día de la apertura, cuando el Alcalde Michael J. Sullivan declaró la semana como la “Semana de Seguridad en la Construcción”, y traemos algunas fotos de las personas responsables de la preparación de la exhibición. Durante la semana, el Departamento tuvo a personas a mano para contestar preguntas acerca de la seguridad en la construcción, prevención de incendio, construcción y seguridad en el sitio de trabajo, remoción y manejo de materiales tóxicos y especialmente una explicación detallada sobre toda clase de permisos necesarios para cumplir con las ordenanzas de la ciudad y estatales. Felicitamos a la ciudad y a las personas envueltas en tan buena idea: informar al público acerca de lo que su departamento puede hacer para guiar e informar no solo Carol A. rganized by Building Inspector Peter Blanchette, under the leadership of Inspectional Services Commissioner Myles Burke, the Building Department Oorganized a comprehensive expo of services provided by the department which has been on display during the week of May 5th through the 10th. In this edition, we are reporting the details of the opening day, when Mayor Michael J. Sullivan declared the week as “Building Safety Week”, and carried some pictures of the people involved in the preparation of the displays. During the week, the Building Department had people on hand to answer questions about building safety, fi re prevention, construction and worksite safety, removal and handling of hazardous materials and specially a comprehensive explanation of all kind of permits needed in order to comply with the different city and state ordinances.
