ECCELLENZE MECCANICHE ITALIANE. MASERATI. Fondatori. Storia passata, presente. Uomini della Maserati dopo i Maserati. Auto del gruppo. Piloti. Carrozzieri. Modellini Storia della MASERATI. 0 – 0. FONDATORI : fratelli MASERATI. ALFIERI MASERATI : pilota automobilistico ed imprenditore italiano, fondatore della casa automobilistica MASERATI. Nasce a Voghera il 23/09/1887, è il quarto di sette fratelli, il primo Carlo trasmette la la passione per la meccanica ALFIERI, all'età di 12 anni già lavorava in una fabbrica di biciclette, nel 1902 riesce a farsi assumere a Milano dalla ISOTTA FRASCHINI, grazie all'aiuto del fratello Carlo. Alfieri grazie alle sue capacità fa carriera e alle mansioni più umili, riesce ad arrivare fino al reparto corse dell'azienda per poi assistere meccanicamente alla maccina vincente della Targa FLORIO del 1908, la ISOTTA lo manda come tecnico nella filiale argentina di Buenos Aires, poi spostarlo a Londra, e in Francia, infine nel 1914 decide, affiancato dai suoi fratelli. Ettore ed Ernesto, di fondare la MASERAT ALFIERI OFFICINE, pur rimanendo legato al marchio ISOTTA-FRASCHINI, di cui ne cura le vetture da competizione in seguito cura anche i propulsori DIATTO. Intanto però, in Italia scoppia la guerra e la sua attività viene bloccata. Alfieri Maserati, in questo periodo, progetta una candela di accensione per motori, con la quale nasce a Milano la Fabbrica CANDELE MASERATI infine progetta un prototipo con base telaio ISOTTA- FRASCHINI, ottenendo numerose vittorie, seguirà la collaborazione con la DIATTO, infine tra il 1925/26, mesce la mitica MASERATI TIPO 26, rivelandosi poi, un'automobile vincente. Il 1929 sarà l'anno della creazione di una 2 vettura la V43000, con oltre 300 CV, la quale raggiungerà i 246 Km/ h, oltre ad altre mitiche vittorie automobilistiche. -

Les hommes de Maserati Les sept frères Maserati naquirent à Voghera près de Pavie entre 1881 et 1898, mais le troisième, Alfieri, mourut en bas âge. Tous les autres s'impliquèrent dans l'industrie automobile sauf le cinquième, Mario, qui devint peintre mais créa quand même l'emblème de la firme Maserati, le trident, en s'inspirant de celui de la statue de Neptune située sur la place centrale de Bologne. Après la mort en course automobile de Carlo, l'aîné, c'est Alfieri, le quatrième, qui avait déjà la lourde responsabilité de porter le même prénom que son frère mort en bas âge, qui devint le leader de la fratrie et créa la marque Maserati, en 1914, à Bologne. L'entreprise se consacra au début à la fabrication de bougies d'allumage et à la préparation pour la course de voitures Isotta-Fraschini et Diatto. Sérieuse rivale des Bugatti, la première vraie Maserati, la tipo 26, sort en 1926 et remporte sa première course, la Targa Florio en Sicile, avec Alfieri Maserati en personne à son volant. Son moteur est un 8 cylindres en ligne de 1500 cc avec double arbre à cames en tête et compresseur délivrant 120 cv à 5300 tr/mn. (voir galerie photo courses, de même pour les autres voitures non illustrées dans ce chapitre, voir les galeries photo coupé ou quattroporte) En 1929, sort la V4 à 16 cylindres qui, à Cremone, avec le pilote Bonazin Borzacchini, bat le record du monde de vitesse sur 10 Kms parcourus à 246 km/h de moyenne. -

Top speed 210 km/h La Tipo 26 è stata la prima vettura a portare il marchio Maserati sulla calandra ed è quella che, nel 1926, consentì alla Casa bolognese di entrare nel mondo dei grandi costruttori. Progettata da Alfieri Maserati, combinava leggerezza e potenza con un’ottima tenuta di strada e frenata. Costruita in 43 esemplari, in diverse cilindrate da 1100 a 2500 cc, fu la classica vettura per i gentlemen driver dell’epoca. The Tipo 26 was the first car to carry the Maserati name on its grille. It enabled the Bologna-based company to join the league of truly great constructors in 1926. Designed by Alfieri Maserati, the Tipo 26 combined light weight with a powerful engine, excellent road holding and good brakes. 43 units were built, with engines varying from 1100 to 2500 cc in displacement. Maserati Tipo 61: the 60th anniversary of its triumph at the Nürburgring An anniversary to remind us that good sporting DNA will always be victorious. From racing roots to a new future on the track with MC20. Modena, Italy - 28 May 2021 – On 28th May, Maserati celebrates a significant anniversary; exactly 60 years ago, the Tipo 61 achieved an amazing victory at the seventh edition of the Nürburgring 1,000 kilometres, the great endurance classic held at the Nordschleife in Germany which reached the height of its splendour and popularity in those very years. With this success, the Maserati Tipo 61 driven by Masten Gregory and Lloyd Casner recorded a memorable double, winning again just one year after the victory achieved in 1960, with Stirling Moss at the wheel alongside Dan Gurney. The cars were customized with white and blue paintwork, the colors which inspired the Maserati MC12 Stradale, as a tribute to these victories. This supercar, which dominated the early 2000s, recently handed over the torch to the new MC20, renewing the racing spirit that has always been integral to Maserati’s DNA, and which is preparing the way for the Trident’s motorsports comeback. The Tipo 61 was the best known of the series of five models designed by Giulio Alfieri, nicknamed “Birdcage” for its unusual chassis, an intricate structure containing about 200 tubes, combined in a complex assembly that resembled a birdcage. This construction method provided a more rigid chassis that was also lighter than the other racing cars of the time, making this two-seater barchetta the ultimate and best solution for front-engined, rear-wheel drive racers. -

Wir wollten erfahren, wie das damals eigentlich anfing mit ZF und haben uns auf Spurensuche nach Modena gemacht. Giulio Alfieri, Milano - Museoscienza 12th April 2000 ALESSANDRO COLOMBO I wish first of all to thank warmly my good friend and fellow AISA Member Ing. Giulio Alfieri who accepted the invitation to be here and tell us about an important work of his: the Maserati 3500 GT. I wish to thank also the management of the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica, who once again hosted us in this beautiful Conte Biancamano hall. Finally, I wish to thank all those who are here. I extend to Giulio Alfieri the kindest greetings of a lady who often in the past drove very successfully Maserati sportscars and also the 250F single seater; this is Maria Teresa De Filippis , who most regrettably cannot move because of a pelvic fracture. Also Borsari and Cozza have excused themselves. This said, I ask the speaker to take the floor. GIULIO ALFIERI Gentlemen, the invitation that was extended to me, to speak freely of the Maserati 3500 GT is for me most exciting; not because of the invitation but for the issues that in my opinion it will be possible to examine. Immediately after the war Maserati were involved in facts that, even if far away time wise, were of the highest importance. In 1937, a transfer of power and responsibilities had occurred, from the Maserati brothers to the Orsis; even if the Maseratis remained 10 more years inside the company because of a contractual commitment, with technical assignments. The way in which the company was managed was new, and we can call it the Orsi management.
