Cumbria Outdoors Directions to: The Fellside Centre

The centre is situated in the hamlet of Fellside. Grid Ref: NY 305 375 Address: Fellside Centre, Fellside, Caldbeck, Wigton, Cumbria, CA7 8HA

From Carlisle and Wigton - Follow the signs to Caldbeck. On entering the village turn right at the Old Smithy on to the Keswick road. Leave the Village and take the first turning on your left (approx 1/4 mile – if you reach the cattle grid you have gone too far!!). At the ‘T’ junction turn right. Take the next left turn signposted to Fellside and the Centre is the first building on the left as you enter Fellside. From Penrith and the M6 - Take Exit 41 and follow the Wigton road for approximately 8 miles. Turn left on to the road signposted to Caldbeck. Follow this road though Millhouse and into Hesket New Market. After the village shop, on your left, take the left hand fork where the main road bends round to the right. Keep on this road, which is narrow in places, for 3 miles and take the turning on the left at the top of the hill signposted to Fellside. The Centre is the first building on the left as you enter Fellside. From Keswick - Take the Carlisle road around the east side of Bassenthwaite Lake. At the Castle Inn turn right to Uldale and Caldbeck Common. Continue through Uldale and over the cattle grid climbing onto the fell towards Caldbeck. Take the second turning on the right signposted to Fellside. Follow this narrow winding road to Fellside and the Centre is the last building on the right. (This route is unsuitable for Coaches) From Cockermouth - Head towards the Castle Inn along the Northern Edge of Bassenthwaite Lake. Go straight across the staggered junction towards Uldale and Caldbeck. Then follow directions as above.
