TENDER OPPORTUNITIES AT THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE (OC)

The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South Africa (Association Incorporated Under Section 21) (“OC”) is governed by section 21 of the Companies Act, 61 of 1973. The OC was incorporated on 29 August 2005 as an independent non-profit section 21 company charged with the responsibility of organising the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup South AfricaTM. The mission statement: “The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa TM presents the ideal stage to rally and mobilise the people of South Africa to organise an African FIFA world cup with precision, innovation and flair; to extend an unforgettable South African welcome to the world; to collaborate with all stakeholders in a dynamic partnership based on integrity and excellence.” The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South AfricaTM (OC) invites interested and suitably qualified service providers to submit Quotations and Information in respect of the FCC 2009 – Overlay bid opportunities described in each individual tender pack below: All temporary infrastructure for the implementation of the FIFA Confederation Cup 2009 - Broadcast Compound to Ellis Park Stadium (JEP), Loftus Versfeld Stadium (PTA), Royal Bafokeng Stadium (RSB) and Free State Stadium (BFN) generally including tents (including ground preparation, ground protection and platforms), portable ablution facilities, containers, scaffolding, office facilities, furniture, fittings and equipment, carpeting, partitioning, ceilings, AV, Electrical, IT and T, HVAC, public address systems, security including design, erection, construction, manufacture, delivery, hiring, maintenance during the hire period and dismantling including necessary making good and reinstatement on completion.

Availability of all RFQ&I Documents listed below A non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Rands (R2000) is payable before collection of the RFQ&I documents. Banking details below. Electronic RFQ&I documents may only be collected from 27 January 2009 starting at 14h00 upon submission of the Proof/Deposit Slip from the OC offices. Compulsory briefing session and Site Inspections will be held at the various stadiums as follows on 29 January 2009 at 11h00 at Mangaung (Bloemfontein), on the 30 January 2009 at 09h00 at the Loftus Versfeld (Pretoria/Tshwane) and 14h00 at Royal Bafokeng (Rustenburg), on the 31 January 2009 at 09h00 at Ellis Park (Johannesburg). The Closing date for submission is 09 February 2009, 16h00. Bidder Notification RFQ&I documents may be only collected from the 27 January 2009 from 14h00, Proof of payment/Deposit Slip must be presented to the OC offices, SAFA HOUSE, 76 NASREC ROAD, NASREC EXT. 3, JOHANNESBURG. Banking details, payment (CASH ONLY) should be deposited directly into the First National Bank, 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South Africa, Current Account number 62090357445, Branch Code 255005. Proof of Payment, use your Company Name as a reference on the deposit slip. Bring deposit slip as proof to collect bid documents (NO FAX/EMAIL). NO CASH will be accepted at the OC offices. RFQ&I submissions must be clearly marked with the reference number (e.g. RFQ&I : FCC 13, Tender Pack 2) indicated above for the attention of The Procurement Department (insert in the Tender Box outside, near Security Gate) at 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South AfricaTM (OC), SAFA HOUSE, 76 NASREC ROAD, NASREC EXT. 3, JOHANNESBURG. Late submissions will be rejected. The OC will therefore invite only the pre-qualified service providers to further participate in the competitive bidding process. Bidders are notified that all above RFQ&I are further governed by FIFA rights. FIFA solely owns the Championship and all rights relating thereto on an exclusive worldwide basis, including those rights associated with commercial opportunities related to or in connection with the Championship. The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South AfricaTM (OC) shall take steps as it shall deem necessary relating to the infringement of FIFA rights by a person or an entity or a service provider which has not been granted the right to promote an affiliation with the Championship including any prohibition of entities and/or service providers not specifically authorized by FIFA from commercially identifying with the Championship. The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South AfricaTM (OC) is committed to support the promotion of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE). The OC is not bound to accept the lowest or any other bid and shall not be obliged to give reasons for its acceptance or rejection of such a bid proposal.
