Meeting Overview: - Allan Fraser & Tom McGowan Desired Outcome: By the end of this meeting we will have completed a draft of NFPA 1082 that will include: i. Chapter 1 – Administration ii. Chapter 2 – Referenced Publications iii. Chapter 3 – Definitions iv. Chapters 4 through x – Each Chapter will contain a Job title and the various duties, tasks, skills and knowledge for that position What Description Startup: Context Desired Outcome Ground Rules Job Titles: Job is the combination of duties and tasks that an Capacity individual performs. Occupancy Page 1 of 74 Duties: Duty is a major subdivision of work action performed by an individual and includes: Reasonable amount of time spent accomplishing the work action Clusters of related tasks Accomplished with reasonable frequency Work actions use similar knowledge, skills and abilities Tasks: Task is an essential function required to complete the performance of a duty. Tasks are: Observable Distinct Performed in a short period of time Paths to a specific outcome, service or decision Statements: Properly Format Job, Are written in behavioral terms Duties, Tasks, Skills Describe the action or activity to be performed and Knowledge using by an individual Pro Qual verbiage. DeVore Page 4 of 74 2 Chapter 1 Administration 1.1* Scope. This standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements (JPRs) for Building Fire and Life Safety Director. 1.2* Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to specify the minimum JPRs for service as a Building Fire and Life Safety Director. 1.2.1 This standard shall define a Building Fire and Life Safety Director. 1.2.2 The intent of this standard shall be to ensure that personnel serving as a Building Fire and Life Safety Director are qualified. 1.2.3* This standard shall not address organization or management responsibility. 1.2.4 It is not the intent of this standard to restrict any jurisdiction from exceeding or combining these minimum requirements. 1.2.5 JPRs for each level and position are the tasks personnel shall be able to perform to carry out the job duties. 1.2.6* A Building Fire and Life Safety Director shall remain current with the general knowledge and skills and JPRs addressed for each level or position of qualification. 1.3 Application. The application of this standard is to specify which requirements within the document shall apply to a Building Fire and Life Safety Director. 1.3.1 The JPRs shall be accomplished in accordance with the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and all applicable NFPA standards. 1.3.2 It shall not be required that the JPRs be mastered in the order in which they appear. The AHJ shall establish instructional priority and the training program content to prepare personnel to meet the JPRs of this standard. Page 5 of 74 1.3.3* Performance of each requirement of this standard shall be evaluated by personnel approved by the AHJ. 1.3.4 The JPRs for each level or position shall be completed in accordance with recognized practices and procedures or as defined by law or by the AHJ. 1.3.5 Personnel assigned the duties of Building Fire and Life Safety Director shall meet all the requirements defined in Chapter 4 prior to being qualified. 1.3.6 The AHJ shall provide personal protective clothing and the equipment necessary to conduct assignments. 1.3.7 JPRs involving exposure to products of combustion shall be performed in approved PPE. 1.3.8 Prior to training to meet the requirements of this standard, personnel shall meet the following requirements: (1) Educational requirements established by the AHJ (2) Age requirements established by the AHJ (3) Medical requirements established by the AHJ (4) Job-related physical performance requirements established by the AHJ 1.3.9 Wherever in this standard the terms rules, regulations, policies, procedures, supplies, apparatus, or equipment are referred to, it is implied that they are those of the AHJ. 1.4 Units. In this standard, equivalent values in SI units shall not be considered as the requirement, as these values can be approximate. (See Table 1.4.) November 8, 2012 In a very difficult economic environment, I am pleased to confirm that Sodexo continues to be a growth company, demonstrating the effectiveness of our strategy and the strength of our unique positioning as an integrator of Quality of Life services. During the just completed fiscal year, we have maintained the investments necessary to support Sodexo’s continued transformation. In a complicated economic environment, Sodexo’s growth continues In 2012, the global economic climate remained particularly troubled: Europe appears locked in a vicious recessionary circle, the U.S. is still vulnerable under the weight of its debt and the so-called “emerging” countries have felt the effects of the overall slowdown. Despite this uncertain environment, Sodexo has continued to grow and is maintaining its medium-term objectives. Victory and podiums finishes in Sydney At the fourth round of the Australian GT Championship, Christopher Mies and Ryan Millier produced the best performance in an Audi R8 LMS ultra. At the Sydney Motorsport Park, the duo fielded by Audi customer team Jamec PEM Racing headed an Audi one-two finish. Second was Audi driver Nathan Antunes (Skwirk/Beechwood), who was third in race two ahead of Mies/Millier. There was also an Audi victory in the Trophy classification to celebrate: in race two, Mark Griffith won from his stablemates Greg Taylor/Barton Mawer. In the first race, Taylor/Mawer made the podium in third place. Tom Kristensen with Danish crown prince at golf tournament Le Mans record winner Tom Kristensen was delighted about receiving an invitation to the European Tour with royal participation. The former professional racing driver competed in the Pro-Am class in the golf event ‘made in Denmark’ with two celebrity competitors – the Danish Crown Prince Frederik and the most successful Danish golfer Thomas Bjørn. Jacob Brunsborg, the son of Himmerland Golf Resort owner Lars Larsen, completed the team. Around 6,000 spectators attended the competition in Farsø in northern Denmark.
