Home Repair Services: •Emergency Home Repair (EHR) Program: low-income home-owners who reside in the City of Austin may be eligible to re-ceive up to $5000 in assistance for emergency repairs •Go Repair-General Obligation Bond Home Repair Program (GOB- HRP): Low and moderate income homeowners residing in the City of Austin may be eligible to receive financial assis-tance to make repairs that will eliminate health and safety hazards and/or improve accessibility.

26 The Black Registry of Austin *Since 1970* 2014-2015 Edition OUR MISSION The Villager, a free community service weekly, is distributed each Friday in neighborhood busi- nesses, The University of Texas, Huston-Tillotson University, libraries, major supermarkets, churches, dining establishments, beauty shops, barber shops, pharmacies and newsstands in East Austin, North- east Austin, Montopolis, Pflugerville, Round Rock and the surrounding areas.

The policy of The Villager is to publish a community paper that serves consumers and merchants in the Greater Austin Metroplex. With an emphasis on African Americans, The Villager focuses on com- munity and national news, events, announcements and newsmakers, as expressed in general, political, business and sports news, along with editorials and comments.
