International airport Sheremetyevo – Hotel «Cosmos» From Sheremetyevo International airport (SVO) there are 2 ways to get to the hotel: 1) By taxi : 1 hour – 90 minutes, depending on a traffic 2) By aero express train (40 minutes) + metro (30 minutes) + walking (10 minutes) Taxi: This is the easiest way but it’s more expensive than the train + metro if you’re travelling alone (if there are 2 or 3 of you the difference won’t be that much). The cost of the trip shouldn’t be more than 1500 Russian Rubles (≈ 20 €). Just say or show the driver the address of the hotel – “prospect Mira, 150” (you may want to print it out in Russian in advance): Проспект Мира, 150, гостиница «Космос» . Aero express train to the city center. The Aero express train platform is easily accessible from any Terminal of the airport. The sign for the aero express train in the airport is - You can also buy a aero express train ticket in advance for the date of your arrival, and it doesn’t have to be for a specific time. This is available from the website https://aeroexpress.ru/en - in this case you can print out the ticket or simply scan the bar code from the screen of your phone to get to the departure platform. Otherwise you can buy a ticket from the machine for 420 Russian Rubles (≈ 6 €). The trains depart every 30 minutes: from 05:00 a.m. till 00:30 a.m. There’s only one route available: Sheremetyevo airport – Belorusskiy railway station. Time of the journey – 35 minutes. Note: if your flight arrives to Moscow at night, between midnight and 4 a.m., the taxi is the only way for you to reach the city center. Once you’re at Belorusskiy railway station, you need to get on the metro and there are 2 station of 2 different metro lines and so 2 options of the further trip: Route 1: from «Belorusskaya» of the dark brown line Route 2: from «Belorusskaya» of the dark green line Route 1: «Belorusskaya» - «VDNKh». You need to take dark brown line and to go by metro from the station «Belorusskaya» to the station «Prospekt Mira» (2nd stop) and make a change to the orange line, station «Prospekt Mira» to go to your final destination «VDNKh» (3rd stop). Route 2: «Belorusskaya» - «VDNKh». You need to take dark green line and to go by metro from the station «Belorusskaya» to «Novokuznetskaya» (4th stop), and make a change to the orange line, station «Tretyakovskaya» to go to your final destination «VDNKh» (7th stop). Moscow metro, one of the best transport systems of the world is the appropriate combination of these factors. In 2007 we accomplished good results. Within several months at the beginning of the year we opened four new stations for the public use. And in August we opened one more, Trubnaya station which at once became one of the most frequently used interchange stations. In December we opened Sretensky Bulvar station and before the New Year the fi rst train ran from the new Kuntsevskaya station on Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line to the long awaited Strogino station. At present the route length of Moscow metro is about three hundred kms and the number of stations is nearly two hundred. We expect to continue our development at a good pace. Due to fi nancial and administrative support of the Government of Moscow in the new century metro construction has been progressing fast and with good quality results. We have done much to upgrade our rolling stock and other technical devices. During the passed year our depots received several batches of new cars to replace the out-of-date stock. At the same time we refurbished the previous generations stock to fi t the up-to-date standards.
