It will be seen from page 17 (Comp. Bible), Gen. 11:20—25:1 that "THE GENERATIONS OF TERAH" are arranged in a Repeated Alternation, and that the Alternation there given is only so far as ABRAHAM is concerned. The Histories are divided up, and alternated with a brief summary of certain Posterities. But the same principle of structure runs through not only the history of Terah, but also that of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The sevenfold alternations may be presented as follows:—
