Fuze Catering & Events at Marquette Park Pavilion Deposit Statement

Catering services for your requested event date will be confirmed after you have read and signed the following Event Deposit Statement and Catering Policies Agreement, and supplied Fuze Catering & Events with a $500 non-refundable Security Deposit. This deposit can be left with the pavilion facilities manager or mailed to our corporate office located at: 9012 S Stony Island in Chicago, IL., 60617. Upon receipt of your non-refundable deposit our office will contact you to discuss the event details at which time an updated event proposal will be generated for your review and approval. All payments are to be made directly to James Sanders in the form of a Money Order or Cashier’s Check.

Upon acceptance of your signed Deposit Statement and Agreement, your next payment of 30% of the Event Quote is due no less than 90 days prior to your event date. The remaining and final balance is due no less than 14 days prior to the date of your event. We do not accept personal checks for Final Payment. Costs in the initial Proposal are valid for 7 days; however, no later than 14 days prior to the event, event details must be finalized (confirmed guest count, menu choice, linen choice, etc.). A firm updated Proposal will be forwarded to the Client reflecting any changes. This updated Final Proposal requires client signature and full payment of event charges quoted at that time. If this balance is not received, Fuze Catering & Events retains the right to cancel this agreement.

Tastings: A Tasting of the Suggested Menu may be scheduled when the Security Deposit is received, the Deposit Statement and Agreement is signed and the event is more than 14 days from the date of the requested Tasting date. A maximum of 4 guests are allowed to attend Tastings. Tasting dates must be approved by the Executive Chef and Marquette Park Pavilion Management. Initials:

Guarantees on Guest Count: Food, beverage and add-on item charges are dependent on the Client’s Final Guest Count guarantee. The Final Guest Count is due 14 days prior to the event date. In the case that a Final Guest Count is not received, we will use an estimated guest count based on previous client correspondence. Increases to the Final Guest Count expressed either electronically or telephonically will be honored into this Agreement and any increase in costs must be paid within 24 hours of notification. The Final Guest Count may be increased prior to your event but the Final Guest Count cannot decrease within 5 business days of your event date. The Client’s Final Quote and Invoice will be based on the Final Guest Count. No Exceptions. We always make our best efforts to accommodate last minute changes, however some changes are not guaranteed. Initials:

Staffing: Our proposal includes staffing for 6 hours which includes set up, event service and post-event clean up. Extra hours above or beyond the scheduled time(s) will be charged at the rate of $30.00 per hour / per Staff Member and billed in a Final Invoice. Overtime is not incurred if the event ends at the scheduled time. Initials:

Event Cancellation Policy: $500 Security Deposit Fees are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, other payments can be credited towards a future event scheduled within a 1 year from the date of cancellation given that the cancellation occurs more than 90 days before the scheduled event and the alternate date is available. If another event is not scheduled within 1 year, any payments will be retained as liquidated damages. Initials:

Client agrees to comply with the following Terms and Conditions:  Any additional decorations provided by any person(s) other than Fuze Catering & Events Staff must first be approved by Marquette Park Pavilion Management.  Glitter, confetti or balloons are NOT allowed. No exceptions.  The Marquette Park Pavilion is a smoke free facility.  If Client plans on displaying any art at their event, the client must consult with Fuze Catering & Events or Marquette Park Pavilion Management prior to the day of the event.  If Client provides sound equipment, the client must consult with Marquette Park Pavilion sound technicians no less than 5 business days prior to the date of the event.  Deliveries or drop-off’s must be scheduled with Marquette Park Pavilion staff to ensure that an appropriate representative will be present for receipt.  Fuze Catering & Events is not responsible for any client or vendor items.  Any and all requests for “take home” food will require consent of the client and a signed waiver of liability from the guest in receipt of the food items, providing that Fuze Catering & Events is released of any liability that should arise from negligent handling of the food once the guests have left the venue. Holidays: We do not schedule events at the Marquette Park Pavilion on national holidays.

Security: Security for all events is provided by the Marquette Park Pavilion. One security officer must be present for every 100 persons at the event. Marquette Park Pavilion reserves the right to refuse admittance of guests for the safety of their guests and the facility. All unruly behavior will be handled appropriately. Initials:

Promotions/Sponsorship: Neither Fuze Catering & Events nor the Marquette Park Pavilion will participate as a partner or as a sponsor of any event. Any and all advertisements for the event agree not to associate Fuze Catering & Events or Marquette Park Pavilion with the event or indicate their involvement other than as the Caterer or location of the event. All such advertising shall clearly state the client’s name, logo and telephone number for contact information. Initials:

A Fuze Catering & Events coordinator will work with each Client to ensure that the scheduled event is conducted in an efficient and successful manner. A Marquette Park Pavilion representative will be present on the day of the event to oversee deliveries, set ups, breakdown and loadouts. Deliveries must be arranged with the event coordinator prior to the event date. Initials:

Events in the Main Ballroom must maintain a guest count of 250 or less. The recommended number of attendees will depend on Client’s preferred room configuration and accommodations must be approved by Marquette Park Pavilion Management and Fuze Catering & Events prior to finalizing a Floor Plan. In addition to the costs set forth in the, the Client is responsible for the cost of repair due to extraordinary cleanup of the Pavilion necessitated by client’s use thereof. Any physical damage to the premises caused by Client or the guests of the Client will be assessed and billed following the event date and due 7 days thereafter. Additional charges not paid within such period shall bear interest rate of the lower of 18% per annum or the highest legal rate. All payment must be in cash, cashier’s check or money order.
