There is a possibility to leave club tents at the CC during Baltic Cup competition. Parking: Access to parking – beginning of market route in Rumia end of Leśna street GPS 54°33'58.2"N 18°22'53.2"E. Then about 2000 m follow forest road to the parking. The parking near CC is only for personal cars (up to 9 persons). The parking is only permitted on the place shown by organiser. Leaving the car in the other place it is a subject to get fine from Forest Guard due to the fact that roads can not be blocked in case of fire. Access from parking to Competition Centre – 200 m Parking fee – 20,00 PLN (3 days) or 10,00 PLN (1 day). Please prepare exact amount of money. Parking for buses at the Primary School no 7 Rumia, 29 Batorego str. Access from parking for buses to Competition Centre – 1700 m marked with violet stripes. Terrain description: Terrain with many contour features, mostly good and very good runability. Very good net of roads and paths. The typical moraine terrain with differences of hills up to 50 meters. Maps: Stage 1 - „Marianowo I” updated August 2021 scale 1:10000 e – 5m Stage 2 - „Zbychowo” updated August 2021 scale 1:10000 e – 5m Stage 3 - „Marianowo II” updated August 2021 scale 1:10000 e – 5m For category W/M60 and older all maps in scale 1:7 500 Classes: K10, K12, K14, K16, K18, K20, K21E, K21S, K35, K40, K45, K50, K60, K65. M10, M12, M14, M16, M18, M21E, M21S, M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70, M75, M80. W21S and M21S – short technical courses Open classes: Free start: Free start - between 00 and 60 minutes of start 10N – routes marked with red stripes 10R – routes marked with red stripes – for children with caretakers Krótka – easy route for beginners Długa – more difficult route Punching System: Sport Ident AIR+ punching system will be used. Distances to start: CC - START Stage 1 250 m Stage 2 450 m Stage 3 300 m The way to start marked with white stripes. Prizes: For every competitor the commemorative medal will be handed out. For the best 3 runners in each class in overall classification. The Award Ceremony will be held at the Competition Centre on Friday 15th of August about 13.30 Fees: SI card rental – 3 PLN/race Fine for lost SI card – 120 PLN Entry fee according to the competition regulations. SI card change after verification deadline – 10 PLN Accreditation: Accreditation of the teams in the competition office is possible within its opening hours. During accreditation the team leader is bound to collect the bib numbers, present the confirmation of the entry fee and settle additional payments. Team leaders are bound to check the SI number of their team members. During accreditation you have the last chance to change the SI number. Competitors with wrong SI numbers at the start will not be allowed to take part in the competition. Technical information: Control descriptions – on the maps and available on the start Time limit - 180 minutes Bib numbers - runners are obeyed to start with their bibs numbers collected at the competition office. Bib must be placed at the runners chest. Beverages: mineral water at the finish line Results will be available at the Competition Centre and on-line Fair Play rules are required – maps will be not collected after race Participants of Baltic Cup are obliged to agree for publication their image on the Baltic Cup website, media and promotional materials. The organizer will use it only for purpose regarding competition. Applying for the competition is tantamount to consenting to the use of the image recorded in the photos and videos taken for promotional purposes and marketing of the Baltic Cup. ETERNAL BATTLEFIELD GLORY Dear Readers, n the glorious history of the Polish army, there were many battles where Iour soldiers showed exceptional heroism and sacrifice. The seizure of the Monte Cassino abbey has its special place in the hearts and memory of Poles. General Władysław Anders wrote in his order: “Long have we waited for this moment of retaliation and revenge on our eternal enemy. […] for this ruffianly attack of Germany on Poland, for partitioning Poland jointly with the Bolsheviks, […] for the misery and tragedy of our Fatherland, for our sufferings and exile.” The soldiers of the Polish II Corps did not waste this opportunity and seized the reinforced position in the abbey’s ruins, which had earlier been resisting the gunfire, bombing and attacks of the Allied forces. Polish determination and heroism broke the fierce defense line of the German forces. This victory was however paid very dearly for. On the hillside of Monte Cassino over 900 soldiers were killed, and almost 3,000 wounded. Still, the Monte Cassino success, although paid for with blood, paved the way to independent Poland. Saint John Paul II, when talking about the Battle of Monte Cassino, said about a live symbol of will to live, of sovereignty. These words perfectly define the attitude ...from a far-away country of the Polish II Corps heroes. They proved to be determined, patriotic, and The title might not be original, but it perfectly reflects the Polish-Italian full of will to fight. They were respected relations.

PRZYKŁAD OBSZARU METROPOLITALNEGO GDAŃSK-GDYNIA-SOPOT NR DOI: 10.25167/sm2018.031.04 s. 53–67 ABSTRACT: The process of institutionalization of metropolitan cooperation within the metropolitan area around Gdańsk has been the subject of a debate with the participation of local representatives of various sectors. Currently, the main entity carrying out activities on a metropolitan scale is the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area Association. It has been responsible for a series of bottom-up projects, implementation of the Integrated Territorial Investments mechanism, as well as lobbying towards establishing a metropolitan union in Pomeranian Voivodship. The article describes the current conditionings that seem to be the most important for the spatial extent and objects of the cooperation in the context of the foregoing metropolitan discourse.     1 Historia Rumi Wstęp W 1994 roku władze miasta Rumi, z okazji czterdziestolecia miasta, wydały pierwszą naukową próbę ukazania historii Rumi od czasów najdawniejszych aż po ówczesną współczesność. Zarys dzie- jów Rumi przygotował zespół historyków związanych z ośrodkami naukowymi Gdańska i Torunia, redaktorem był mieszkaniec Rumi, dr hab. Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego, Jacek Banach (zm. w 2005 ro- ku)1. We Wstępie, zgodnie ze stanem faktycznym, pisał: „Niniejsze opracowanie jest pierwszą próbą opracowania dziejów Rumi od początków osadnictwa do nadania jej praw miejskich w paździer- niku 1954 roku”. Nie spełniały już wówczas swego zadania starsze, niemieckojęzyczne pozycje, jak Hansa Prutza2 czy Frantza Schultza3, poświęcone przeszłości całych powiatów wejherowskiego i puckiego, podobnie jak i opracowane w tej konwencji pozycje nowsze, napisane już w języku polskim4. W chwili publikacji każda z tych pozycji wiele znaczyła dla nauki i dla wiedzy o prze- szłości samej Rumi, ale nie tylko ona była ich zbiorowym bohaterem. Dodatkowo zamówiona przez władze miasta Rumi ogólna „kronika” o przeszłości już tylko i wyłącznie miasta Rumi, pióra Zenona Nowaka, pracownika naukowego Instytutu Historii Uniwersytetu im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu, nigdy nie została udostępniona drukiem (i z każdym rokiem „leżakowania” traciła swo- ją świeżość), a inne z nowszych, ważniejszych prac z racji swego ponownie szerszego charakteru tylko wspominały o Rumi (co nie znaczy, że nie przyniosły w tej mierze szeregu wcześniej niezna- nych ustaleń)5. Zarys dziejów Rumi przyniósł więc rzeczywiście po raz pierwszy kompendium wiedzy o przeszłości miasta, ale równie trafnie jego redaktor, J. Banach, pisał, że o ile „niewiele więcej da się powiedzieć o najdawniejszych dziejach Rumi, chyba że doszłoby do odnalezienia dotąd nieznanych, niezbadanych źródeł”, to inaczej rzecz się ma, gdy chodzi o dzieje nowsze, gdzie widział możliwość pogłębienia kwerendy archiwalnej.
