Key Understanding: The four Diadoch wars. There were 4 (four) Diadoch Wars fought between the successors of Alexander the Great, known as the Diadochi. The wars are historically called the First Diadoch War, the Second Diadoch War, the Third Diadoch War, and the Fourth Diadoch War.
