Color Schemes Available Color Schemes Available Note: Colors are very difficult to accurately portray on the web. The colors of your playground will be similar to the ones shown below. Currently, the colors are shown applied only to Fort Columbus as an illustration of the color combination. Eventually there will be pictures of all the playgrounds in each available color scheme. At the bottom of this page, there is a chart showing the equivalent Crayola® crayon color from their 64-pack crayon box. The solid crayon colors are remarkably similar to the playground colors. Tropical Sensations The first thing you notice when you visit the tropics is an almost overwhelming sensation of color - bright, vibrant, riotous displays of vivid reds, yellows, greens and other splashes of color beneath a bright blue sky and lit up with brilliant sunshine. This feeling is captured by Tropical Sensations. Red, blue, yellow & teal green rotationally molded plastic parts tied together with forest green powder- coated pipes. Tropical Rainforest Tropical forests are filled with brilliantly colored birds, butterflies and flowers. So Tropical Rainforest uses forest green crayons to create the backdrop for vivid tropical colors of red, yellow and blue. Red, blue, yellow and forest green rotationally molded plastic parts tied together with forest green powder-coated pipes. Tropical Sunrise It is hard to describe the vividness and intensity of color in a typical tropical sunrise. In Tropical Sunrise, the red and yellow of the sunrise are set off by the rich green pipes representing the palm trees greeting the new day. Red and yellow rotationally molded plastic parts tied together with forest green powder-coated pipes. Ponderosa A feeling of deep woods is portrayed by Ponderosa, composed of woodsy brown and forest green with a touch of sunshine yellow. This is a good choice if you need to have a playground which needs to appear to become part of the natural environment. Woodsy brown and forest green rotationally molded plastic parts are tied together with forest green powder-coated pipes and highlighted with yellow. Sherwood Forest Teal green brings a touch more color to the forest green and woodsy brown environment, highlighted by warm sunshine yellow. Robin Hood and his merry men prefer Sherwood Forest. Brown, forest green and teal rotationally molded plastic parts are tied together with forest green powder-coated pipes and highlighted with yellow. If you have a Crayola® 64-pack of crayons, you can see a very close rendition of our colors by looking at the crayons themselves (not coloring with them, but looking at the solid crayon color). Here are the equivalents: What we call (click to view) Matching Crayon name Red Red Yellow Yellow Blue Periwinkle Teal green Robin's Egg Blue Forest Green Forest Green.

  • Understanding the Importance of Color Matching Coding the Colors
When red is not red: Understanding the importance of color matching Color as brand Color is an integral part of branding. Whether it’s the robin’s egg blue box with jewelry inside, a green and yellow tractor or the white delivery truck with a purple and orange logo, we instinctively know brands by their colors. As a commercial printer, we understand that achieving accurate and consistent color results in everything we produce is vital in protecting the integrity of your brand. Color Color vs. perception reality Color perception is the way your eye Color reality is the scientific means of sees the color. Many factors can affect it matching a color. We have — the lighting, the environment, the type spectrophotometers that measure any of printer being used (toner-based or color visible to the human eye. inkjet), and even the eye of the beholder! We don’t all see color the same way. Color perception Color reality Lighting Environment Spectrophotometers Printer Your Eye Simply put, the red you see may not be the red you wanted. To match colors, we examine the color we want to achieve against the color we’ve printed to see how close they actually are. Our color management team works to get your color correct every time. Coding CMYK, which stands for “Cyan Magenta Yellow Black,” is primarily concerned with the combination of ink on the paper to produce the colors colors—in particular, the four basic colors used for printing color images. We combine these four colors on a substrate (the underlying surface), which is essentially the fifth color.

COLORS OF LUDOWICI FOREST GREEN BLEND M11/M9 SPOT Ludowici colors are not painted on the surface, but fired in under extreme temperatures to ensure they retain their original tones and hues for many years to come. Color is included in our 75-year material warranty. For more information on Ludowici colors, please see the Art and Science of Ludowici Color on the back of this card. Patial representation of expected color range shown. 4757 Tile Plant Road | P.O. Box 69 | New Lexington, OH 43764 | 800-945-TILE (8453) | www.ludowici.com | www.terrealna.com LRT-CC-M11M9S THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LUDOWICI COLOR Creating the color of a terra cotta roof tile is part science and part art. There is always a range of tones within any given color. It is impossible to produce a monochromatic terra cotta roof tile. In most cases, color is applied by spraying the surface of wet tile with glaze (a mixture of glass frit, silicas and pigments) prior to firing. At kiln temperatures over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, the spray components fuse onto the surface, becoming an integral part of the tile itself. Some colors are made from a two-step process involving a base coat and overspray. These colors will naturally display a broader range in tones as the overspray varies in its coverage of the base coat. A broad range will also be produced with colors utilizing high iron content. • The variation of tones within a selected color is affected by many production factors including: • Temperature variations in the kiln; • Position of each tile in the kiln; • Spray patterns and resulting coverage; and • Subtle natural differences in clay, pigment and frit composition.
