What have I been up to recently?
- SERIES PRODUCER - On brand new BBC series 'FARM TO FEAST: BEST MENU WINS' with wonderful home grown talent looking for 7 of the best amateur cooks to compete to win the 2021 title! More info once press has been released.
- Producer on brand new BBC show - BARBERSHOP FOR BALD MEN! Casting and pre-production, Self Shooting FS7 + Producing. COVID safety, pick ups and delivery. A one off BBC show all about male hair loss, finding a few stand out guys who would be willing to go on TV and not only share their very personal hair loss story to the world, but also going through our hair replacement system where we shave what little hair they had left, and attach a new hair piece to see if they become their former confident selves. Most importantly of all though, it’s about giving them back their choice - to either embrace the bald, or turn back the clock to their dream hair from the past, the choice is theirs.
- VT Producer on Chrismas special spin-off series for ITV1. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Million Pound Question. Remotely working from home, heavy background research in sourcing contributors from the 90s with very little information to go on, searching for more commentators, locations, writing IV questions, supporting the SP in any capacity necessary.
- Producing our cast, from pre-prod casting to production working closely with our amazing series producer on a brand new series hitting the BBC summer 2020.
- I've also been working out in Denmark, for a UK production company; producing a branded content film for international architectural giant SWECO.
- Edit Producing and UK Shoot Producing celebrities and presenters on the much loved cult classic Takeshi's Castle Indonesia for Comedy Central. Working on 4 series, on a revised format for UK and International versions, had great fun being in the studio producing or in the edit, trying to make some sense of the madness!
- Working on Netflix show 'FLINCH'. Filming out in a mysterious location in the North of Ireland. My role was making sure the cast delivered to the best of their ability on screen, I was interviewing them during some very vulnerable moments to get the best out of them. By the end of the series, I had personally produced 442 interview over 2 and a half weeks, then produced all 10 of the cast segments 'as live' records of the show, as part of a large crew of 90.
- Working at The Wellcome Trust for BBC Tomorrow's World, making short form science docs on multiple strands. Working to 3 directors for 12 films, responsible for Production & Delivery as well as Prep, Casting, Locations, Editorial content, prod. scheduling, shoot scheduling, liaising with edits and execs, compliance & legal issues, BBC post paperwork & clearances, looking after £150K Budget, call sheets, Shooting 1st and 2nd cam, RAs, VO, Editorial input, negotiating talent, sourcing experts, contributors, fact checkers, scientific advisors etc.
- In House at October Films, working here in Casting on several different projects around 8 months.
- Working back at the BBC on a brand new prime-time Saturday night talent show for BBC 1 - Let It Shine. Working on the Secret Nominations aspect of the show - from assisting the CP casting the contribs, to shooting 2nd camera (FS7) on some shoots and genera duties on location.
- Previously, working on a commercial since late Jan, shooting several short form docs over a period of 5 months for the government to help promote the government's apprenticeship scheme.
- Prior to this, dreaming up ideas in Development over at Monkey Kingdom, involving shooting PMW-200, cutting together a taster tape and working on heavy research into feasibility for an exciting potential commission in the works.
- A confident self shooter on SONY FS7, FS5, C300, C100, XF305, XF105, EX3, PMW-200, 5D and 7D shooting interviews, voxes, sequences, undercover and 1st and 2nd Camera for broadcast.
