The is the annual professional convention for Fantasy Authors, Artists, and Editors. The 2004 edition in Tempe, Arizona has a theme of Women of Fantasy and Horror. will feature a Dealer’s Room, Art Show, Programming featuring our Guests of Honor and other participants including discussion panels, workshops and readings, the World Fantasy Awards Banquet, Autograph Reception, Artists Reception, and more. Author Guest of Honour: Gwyneth Jones is a writer and critic of Fantasy and and also writes as Ann Halam, a writer of teenage fiction. She has been awarded two World Fantasy Awards, a BSFA short story award, the Children of the Night Award from the Dracula Society, the 2001 Arthur C. Clarke award for ; and is a co-winner of the Tiptree award. Artist Guest of Honor: Janny's award winning paintings have been showcased in many exhibitions of imaginative artwork and she has been awarded three Chesley awards by The Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA). She is also the author of eleven novels, a collection of short stories, and the internationally best selling Empire trilogy written in collaboration with Raymond E. Feist. Editor Guest of Honor: Award winning editor of many fantasy, horror and science fiction anthologies including The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror for sixteen years. She has won the six times, and the 2002 for Best Professional Editor. Datlow consults for , and is currently the editor for SCI FICTION, the fiction area of SCIFI.COM. Publisher Guest of Honor: Betty Ballantine co-founded and with her husband and has published many major fantasy authors over the years. She was awarded two World Fantasy Awards with Ian (1975, 1984) and Betty received a special SFWA President's Award in 2002. Toastmistress: Since 1984, Jennifer Roberson has published 22 solo novels, among them fourteen bestselling fantasy novels: the 8-volume Chronicles of the Cheysuli, about a race of shapechangers and a divine prophecy; the 6-volume Sword-Dancer saga the author describes as " Meets Gloria Steinem," and The Golden Key with Melanie Rawn and Kate Elliott.

World Fantasy Awards Banquet - The World Fantasy Awards Banquet and Ceremony will be held Sunday October 31 at 1:00pm. Tickets are $53 this year and for that you get an entrée, salad, dessert and drink (non- alcoholic). Entrees are beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian. Please note your entrée choice below.

Art Show Panels/Tables: The World Fantasy Art show is a juried art show. Contact us for details on submitting artwork for consideration or how to place art if you are already accepted.
