3 Imagine the Possibilities ... with the St. Nicholas Greenhouse Many thanks to Bruce Baldree, his family, and alumni friends for this wonderful gift.

s a Life Scout with Troop 30 (Brainerd UMC) as well as a St. Nicholas School graduate, Bruce Baldree ‘05 joined the scouting program as a Cub Scout with the pack at St. Nicholas. For his Eagle Scout project, heA chose to build a greenhouse for St. Nicholas School to serve as both an outdoor classroom and as an enrichment opportunity. The greenhouse is 9’x12’ and is situated between the Upper and Middle Primary buildings. Constructed primarily out of cedar, Lexan, and pressure treated pine, the greenhouse is built to last for many years and will hopefully serve to enrich the St. Nicholas experience for countless students to come. The project cost approximately $5,000.00, with materials funded in part by the school. Bruce and his family raised the majority of the funds and the greenhouse was built with love by the Baldree family (Bruce ‘05, his sister Anna ‘09, and parents Mitch Baldree and Marie Farrar Baldree). The project began early on the morning of Friday, August 19, 2011, and continued through that week- end, and for several weeks thereafter. The greenhouse was dedicated as a part of the annual alumni chapel service and reception on May 30th. The St. Nicholas community of students, parents, and staff attended the dedication that was officiated by The Rev. Buckley Robbins.
