SPARK Schools: SPARK Park will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 9:00 AM, announced Houston I.S.D. Kathleen Ownby, Executive Director of the SPARK Program. The 2015 SPARK Almeda, Anderson, Ashford, Askew, Atherton, Benavidez, Berry, Braeburn, Briscoe, Browning, Art Calendar, in which Port Houston is featured for the month of May, will be Burrus, Cage, Carrillo, Chavez H.S., Clifton M.S., th rd Coop, Cornelius, Crockett, Davila, Davis H.S., unveiled. Students will receive a copy of the 6 edition, 3 printing SPARK Deady M.S., Edison M.S., Eliot, Emerson, Field, Fleming M.S., Fonwood, Franklin, Gallegos, Garcia, Coloring Book to celebrate the occasion. Garden Oaks, Garden Villas, Hamilton M.S., R. P. Harris, Hartsfield, Helms, J. P. Henderson, Henry M.S., Herrera, Hobby, Hogg M.S., Holland M.S., The Port Houston SPARK Park is a cooperative venture of Houston ISD and the Houston International Academy, HSLECJ, Jackson M.S., Janowski, Jefferson, Johnston M.S., Port Houston parents and students. The park includes new sidewalks and an Kashmere Gardens, Kashmere H.S., Ketelsen, Lockhart, Looscan, Lyons, Mading, McGowen, outdoor classrrom. Trees for Houston planted 32 trees in the park with the McReynolds M.S., Memorial, Milne, Montgomery, Moreno, Northline, Oates, Ortiz M.S., Osborne, assistance of neighborhood volunteers. The park was designed by Wen-Ping Park Place, Patterson, Petersen, Piney Point, Poe, Port Houston, Revere M.S., Reynolds, River Oaks, Hung of M2L Architects. The total cost of the project was $96,980. Roberts, Robinson, Rodriguez, T. H. Rogers, Ross, Scarborough, School at St. George Place, Shadydale, Sinclair, Sharpstown H.S., Stevens, Stevenson M.S., The school contributed $6,000 for their SPARK Park. Fundraising efforts Sutton, Tijerina, Tinsley, Travis, Valley West, Wainwright, Waltrip H.S., Washington H.S., included Valentine and Christmas dances, a carnival with haunted house, snack Westbury H.S., W. University, Wharton, Whidby, E. White, Whittier, Wilson, Woodson Leadership sales, and selling plates of food. Other funding for the park includes $5,000 from Academy, Young Scholars Houston ISD, $10,000 from Port of Houston Authority, and $25,000 froom the Aldine I.S.D. Carroll E.S., Harris Academy, Stovall M.S. Brown Foundation. The contractor was P2MG. Alief I.S.D. State Representative Ana Clear Creek I.S.D. McWhirter Elem. Hernandez will present a state flag that has flown over the Texas Capitol. State Fort Bend I.S.D. Ridgemont Elem. Senator Sylvia Garcia’s office will present a certificate of recognition. Galena Park I.S.D.
