Pikcup at 8 am at hotel. The tour includes visiting several fortresses and acheological sites from different historical periods. The first stop is Smederevo fortress which is remarkable for the sheer scale of its defences and for its state of preservation. After a walk and history lesson about medieval Serbia the tour continues to Viminacium archaeological site from Roman era. Exploring remains of temples, streets, squares, amphitheatres, palaces, hippodromes and Roman baths. Within the archaeological site there is a Mammoth park with spectacular skeleton of 5 million year old mammoth. Golubac fortress is a medieval fortress, strategically located on the embankment of the Danube River where it narrows to form the Iron Gate gorge. Visiting Turkish bath, exploring gallery in Visitor centre and walking by the Danube river with beautiful view to Iron Gate. Lunch break in Golubac. Lepenski Vir is the oldest urban settlement in Europe. This archeological site is one of the best preserved sites in Serbia, and visit includes walking around the site and its gallery, watching a short movie about its excavation and enjoying the virtual walk through Lepenski Vir settlement using computers. The last stop on this tour is Kapetan Mišin breg with a beautiful viewpoint to the Iron Gate. Return to Belgrade late in the evening. Price: 8200 RSD per person Departures: everyday on request
