Yeovilton ZZ409 AgustaWestland AW159 Lynx Wildcat AH1 MoD/AgustaWestland, Yeovil Notes: 1. There are now two 100 Squadron Hawk wearing the same special marks. XX318 was revealed recently, making a matching pair with XX246. 2. XX343 is one of the first Boscombe Down Aviation Collection machines to arrive at Old Sarum, where the Collection opens its doors with a new museum on 1st July 2012. 3. Tornado ZA401 carries special marks commemorating 30 years of RAF Tornado operations. 4. As the Tornado F3 RTP process winds up, the first Tornado GR4s have arrived at RAF Leeming to be decommissioned. 5. The first Typhoons wearing codes for 1 Squadron have appeared. The squadron should stand up again shortly at RAF Leuchars. Another old squadron, 10 Squadron, should reform to operate the Voyager from Brize Norton soon. 6. ZZ406 is the first Wildcat to be delivered to Yeovilton. Reports suggest more are on their way shortly. 7. This update is the second to be uploaded to http://www.militaryaircraftmarkings.co.uk/, the new home of ‘Military Aircraft Markings’ online. All future updates will be uploaded here.
