The Battle of Flowers® Parade April 22, 2016 THEME SHEET

Texas Traditions… 125 Years! embodies the handing down of culture, pastimes and humor that have been characteristic of Texans from one generation to the next. Such Traditions have set Texas apart from any other area of our country. Though some traditions such as homecoming may be celebrated in other parts of the United States, there is always some small part that is PURELY TEXAN.

The Battle of Flowers® Parade is a theme-based Parade with the overall theme determined by the Battle of Flowers® Association. Participants choose a theme for their entry which must fit into the composite design of the Parade. Costumes, props and decorations must also follow the Parade theme. The following list of themes will serve as a guideline. Entries may select from this list or suggest another theme. The Public School themes are reserved. All entry themes must be approved by the Parade Board and are on a “first come, first serve” basis to ensure that each entry is unique. Please choose your theme and confirm with your Section Chair to avoid disappointment. All sketches must be approved by the Parade Board. Thank you for your participation!
