Call to Worship We face trials each day; though we tried and tested, our hope is ever in Your great promises our Lord on high! You are the Overcomer! All power is in You almighty God! You are never vexed or confused! You have no equal; all that opposes Your greatness is already lost! All Your paths lead to goodness, though we may not see it for a time. Fulfillment of all that is good is ever and only in Your way. We are awed by Your power, righteousness, and love. God of grace and mercy, be glorified in our trust and obedience as we reflect Your great love. We praise You gracious God and sovereign King!

Opening Prayer

Opening Hymn “Shall We Gather at the River” (see insert)

Prayer of Confession Eternal God whose word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path, we recognize and confess that we have failed to respond fully to Your gracious presence in our lives. Through You , we are offered new life and freedom to serve You. We confess that we are captive to sin, which blinds us in false pride; and the wrong we do is made worse by the good we leave undone. Reconcile us to You and to one another. God of mercy, forgive all of our sin and strengthen us for the new life You have planned for us through Christ our Savior. Amen

Assurance of Pardon

Gloria Patri Glory be to the Fath`er, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
