Loyalty program of Accor company and its benefits in practice. [Master’s dissertation] The Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. Prague: 2021, 90 pages. The main aim of master´s dissertation is to identify the weaknesses of Accor company loyalty programme named „ALL“ and proposal for improvement. The loyalty program ALL will be described in details as well as the loyalty programmes of other hotel companies chosen for this thesis. Furthermore, all the programmes will be evaluated by identical evaluating system which has been created for this purpose. Master’s dissertation is divided into three parts. In the first one, literature review and methodology, reader will be confronted with all necessary concepts and terms that need to be understood in order to understand the loyalty programs in hospitality. In analytical part can be found detailed description of hotel groups chosen for this thesis and their loyalty pregrammes, which are subsequently evaluated by the mentioned evaluation system created for this purpose. Analytical part also describes the questionnaire survey which took place in order to confirm or refuse the following hypothesis: „The new Accor loyalty programme „ALL“ has, despite the applied improvements, weaknesses in comparison with programs of other hotel companies chosen for this thesis, which could be improved.“ Based on the research, in the final proposals may be found all the steps which are necessary to be taken in order to improve the quality of programme and to satisfy the guests. NORTHWEST AIRLINES 1926-2010 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ THE QUEEN OF THE SKIES Personal Retrospectives by Robert DuBert It's hard to believe that they are gone. Can it be possible that it was 50 years ago this September that this aircraft made its first public appearance? Are we really all so, ahem, elderly that we Photo: True Brand, courtesy Vincent Carrà remember 1968 as if it were yesterday? This plane had its origins in 1964, when Boeing began work on a proposal for the C-5A large military airlifter contract, and after Lockheed won that contest, Boeing considered a commercial passenger version as a means of salvaging the program. Urged on by Pan Am president Juan Trippe, Boeing in 1965 assigned a team headed by Chief Engineer Joe Sutter to design a large new airliner, although Boeing at the time was really more focused on its supersonic transport (SST) program. A launch customer order from Pan Am on April 13, 1966 for twenty five aircraft pushed Sutter's program into high gear, and in a truly herculian effort, Joe Sutter and his Boeing team, dubbed “The Incredibles,” brought the program from inception on paper to the public unveiling of a finished aircraft in the then unheard of time of 29 months. We're talking, of course, about the legendary and incomparable Boeing 747. THE ROLLOUT It was a bright, sunny morning on Monday, Sept.

  • Research Studies Series a History of the Civil Reserve
RESEARCH STUDIES SERIES A HISTORY OF THE CIVIL RESERVE AIR FLEET By Theodore Joseph Crackel Air Force History & Museums Program Washington, D.C., 1998 ii PREFACE This is the second in a series of research studies—historical works that were not published for various reasons. Yet, the material contained therein was deemed to be of enduring value to Air Force members and scholars. These works were minimally edited and printed in a limited edition to reach a small audience that may find them useful. We invite readers to provide feedback to the Air Force History and Museums Program. Dr. Theodore Joseph Crackel, completed this history in 1993, under contract to the Military Airlift Command History Office. Contract management was under the purview of the Center for Air Force History (now the Air Force History Support Office). MAC historian Dr. John Leland researched and wrote Chapter IX, "CRAF in Operation Desert Shield." Rooted in the late 1930s, the CRAF story revolved about two points: the military requirements and the economics of civil air transportation. Subsequently, the CRAF concept crept along for more than fifty years with little to show for the effort, except for a series of agreements and planning documents. The tortured route of defining and redefining of the concept forms the nucleus of the this history. Unremarkable as it appears, the process of coordination with other governmental agencies, the Congress, aviation organizations, and individual airlines was both necessary and unavoidable; there are lessons to be learned from this experience. Although this story appears terribly short on action, it is worth studying to understand how, when, and why the concept failed and finally succeeded.

  • The Rise and Fall of the Most Experienced Airline in the World the Story of Pan American World Airways
The Rise and Fall of the Most Experienced Airline in the World _ The Story of Pan American World Airways Lukas Kleinfeldt Senior Division Historical Paper Paper Length- 2,500 Pan American World Airways dominated the airline industry for over fifty years. As one of the most influential businesses of its time, this forgotten airline still influences our modern transportation practices. Pan American unequivocally defined modern airlines. Pan American reached its peak in the 1960s, with over 150 destinations in 86 countries. Yet, like many major corporations, Pan American collapsed. By January 11, 1991 Pan American, deep in debt, sold off its assets, and eventually declared Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. A company which reigned in the airline industry ceased to exist, seemingly overnight. Pan Am defined the standard of modern aviation by pioneering new routes, utilizing new innovations, and inventing international passenger service, something we take for granted when we choose to travel. Ultimately, “The World's Most Experienced Airline” had failed due to poor management, outdated service, rising oil prices and terrorist attacks. 1 When Pan American Airways was created on March 14, 1927, it was never meant to be a superpower. The founders of Pan Am, Air Corps Majors Henry H. "Hap" Arnold and Carl A. Spaatz, were veteran airmen of WWI. The majors continued to view Germany as a potential military threat following the war. The sole purpose in the creation of Pan Am was to provide a counter to SCADTA, a German owned Colombian airmail carrier. SCADTA was viewed by the majors as a tool used by Germany to assert dominance in Colombia, Panama’s neighbour.2 This concerned the majors, as the U.S still had military troops present in Panama in 1927.
