INVITATION TO THE IBU VIRTUAL COACH WEBINAR WEEK 2020 21-24 SEPTEMBER 2020 I ONLINE VIA ZOOM INTERNATIONAL BIATHLON UNION DEAR BIATHLON FRIENDS, DEAR COACHES, The edition of our IBU Coach Webinar 2020 is addressed to Coaches working with youth and junior biathletes. We welcome Coaches from all our National Federations. During this unique educational experience, you will learn and broaden your knowledge of the principles of training work with young athletes at the national level. An international team of biathlon experts drawn from elite sports, education, and psychology will support you. Their knowledge, experience, and skills will help you responsibly develop young people and contribute to strengthening their position as future elite biathletes. Through a series of webinars, you will develop your coaching skills, including sessions focused on ski training, shooting training, designing inclusive training sessions, and preparation and planning. You will broaden your psychological skills by helping to identify and meet the personal and professional development needs of athletes, including their potential, strength, and current areas of development. After an enjoyable and challenging week of lectures, you will complete nine dis- creet but interconnected workshops that will inspire you to plan, implement and evaluate your own programs, and receive a certificate confirming participation in a series of lectures to improve your qualifications. You will experience the possibilities: 4 Broaden your knowledge, skills and values as a biathlon youth and junior Coach 4 Take part in a series of interactive workshops during which you will be able to ask questions and discuss with lecturers Share your ideas and learn from other professionals through the webinar session experience.
