Tribunal Arbitral du Sport Court of Arbitration for Sport MEDIA RELEASE ANTI-DOPING – SOCHI 2014 THE COURT OF ARBITRATION FOR SPORT (CAS) DELIVERS ITS DECISIONS IN THE MATTER OF 39 RUSSIAN ATHLETES V/ THE IOC: 28 APPEALS UPHELD, 11 PARTIALLY UPHELD Lausanne, 1 February 2018 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has delivered its decisions (operative parts only) in 39 of the 42 cases filed by Russian athletes against the decisions taken by the Disciplinary Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC DC) in relation to the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games. The reasoned decisions will be delivered in due course. As part of the Congress Week, the FIS Council as well as the various FIS Technical Committees, Sub-Committees and Working Groups will meet from Sunday 13 th to Wednesday 16 th May, whilst the FIS Congress (General Assembly) itself takes place on Friday 18 th May. The Organisers of the FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2022 and the FIS Alpine, Nordic, Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships 2023 will be elected by the FIS Council on Thursday 17 th May. The six Candidates (see p. 2) will present their concepts to all Congress participants from display stands and during the respective Technical Committee meetings as well as having a final opportunity to present to the FIS Council on Tuesday 15 th May. The announcement of the four elected Organisers will take place on Thursday at approximately 19:00 local time (20:00 CET). A live stream from the announcement will be available on the FIS Facebook channels. Representing the highest decision-making authority within FIS, the Congress will take place on Friday, 18 th May. -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Leduc to host 2018 U SPORTS/Curling Canada Curling Championships March 30, 2017 TORONTO (U SPORTS) – U SPORTS and Curling Canada announced Thursday that the 2018 U SPORTS/Curling Canada Curling Championships will be held in Leduc, Alta., hosted by the Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas. The U SPORTS national championship, set for Mar.24-28, 2018, will be one of four curling events held next year at the Leduc Recreation Centre just outside of Edmonton, in addition to the 2018 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national championship, the 2018 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship and the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship. “U SPORTS is very pleased to continue its commitment to university curling in Canada. Partnering with Curling Canada and one of our sport partners, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, as well as the University of Alberta and the University of Alberta-Augustana, will raise the bar by providing university athletes with the opportunity to compete on stadium ice,” said Graham Brown, CEO of U SPORTS. "One of our goals for university sport in Canada is to build relationships with our sport partners and universities to enhance the student-athlete experiences at U SPORTS national championships. Providing a curling festival concept in a curling community like Leduc does just that.” It will be the 11th staging of the U SPORTS/Curling Canada Curling Championships and the second time hosted by the University of Alberta, after the Golden Bears and Pandas welcomed Canada’s best university curlers to the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton in 2010. INTERNATIONAL SKI FEDERATION Blochstrasse 2 3653 Oberhofen/Thunersee Switzerland FOR MORE INFORMATION Jenny Wiedeke FIS Communications Manager Mobile: + 41 79 449 5399 E-Mail: [email protected] Oberhofen, Switzerland 25.01.2017 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FIS MEDIA INFO FIS Doping Panel Decision on appeals of the provisionally suspended Russian Cross Country athletes Belov and Legkov Six Russian Cross Country athletes Alexander Legkov, Evgeniy Belov, Julia Ivanova, Evgenia Shapovalova, Alexey Petukhov and Maxim Vylegzhanin were provisionally suspended on 22 nd December after the findings in the McLaren Report outlined alleged anti-doping rules violations in connection with the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi (RUS). The athletes and the Russian National and Cross-Country Ski Associations were duly notified of the disciplinary proceedings and further investigations by the IOC, and the implementation of provisional suspensions by FIS. Following this notification, the athletes appealed the provisional suspension. The FIS Doping Panel, after having heard Evgeniy Belov and Alexander Legkov, and the FIS, has decided today, 25 th January 2017 by majority not to reverse its initial decision, but to uphold the provisional suspensions of Evgeniy Belov and Alexander Legkov until further notice. As a result of the decisions, the above-mentioned athletes may not take part in any competitions or national team activities. The decisions of the FIS Doping Panel may be appealed exclusively to the Court of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne (CAS) in accordance with the applicable provisions of CAS. The time to file an appeal to CAS is 21 days. The other four provisionally suspended athletes Julia Ivanova, Evgenia Shapovalova, Alexey Petukhov and Maxim Vylegzhanin have also filed appeals, which are currently in progress. -

Finnish Ski Association Pohjola Sports Cover 1 June 2020 – 31 May 2021 Ski Pass, policy code 06-8698959 For whom? Ski Pass, EUR Adults Born 2002 or earlier 37 Youth Born 2003 or later 27 A Ski Pass is an inexpensive licence product for non-competitive skiing of various types (alpine, freestyle, cross-country, ski jumping, Nordic combined). The licence fee always includes Sports Cover for ordinary skiers to cover snow sports. In addition to non-competitive sports, a Ski Pass entitles you to participate in competitions in all age groups as follows: Cross-country skiing and ski jumping/Nordic combined • regional and district competition • national competition organised by your own club or • the Hopeasompa finals • veterans’ Finnish championships in cross-country skiing Alpine and freestyle skiing • in club and regional competitions organised by SHL or SSF (the Finnish- and Swedish-language Ski Associations of Finland) that are outside the national competitive calendar, or • national competition organised by your own club Children aged 12 (born 2009) or younger and adults aged 65 (born 1956) or older may take part in national or higher competitions in all disciplines with a Ski Pass. Persons aged 13-64 (born 1957-2008) must have a competitive licence to participate in national or higher competitions. How to buy a Ski Pass You can buy a Ski Pass at www.suomisport.fi. Read the instructions on the Finnish Ski Association's website www.hiihtoliitto.fi. The licence is valid once it has been paid. Sports Cover in brief Sports Cover provides compensation for injuries resulting from a sudden event, such as rupture of the Achilles tendon or a dislocated knee.
