ASIAN UNIVERSITY SPORTS FEDERATION The Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) hosted four remarkable championships across 2019 as well as the FISU-NUSF Seminar, all of which were fully presented to Asia and the world via the AUSF website and Facebook page by the newly-formed AUSF Media Committee. The four championships brought together hundreds of university students from all over Asia to compete for glory and enrich their university sports experience, while the 2019 FISU-NUSF seminar attracted 50 delegates from 14 countries/ regions to discuss the topic of “Media and Sports Development”. The Seminar provided a useful platform to foster friendship and knowledge sharing.

EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES GAMES 2022 LODZ, POLAND

Poland’s third-biggest city Lodz will host the sixth edition of the European Universities Games in 2022, having received attribution at the EUSA General Assembly held in Madrid in April 2018. It will be the biggest university sport event organised in Poland since the Winter Universiade in 2001. Organisers expect to host athletes from 13 different sport disciplines. The city of Lodz has hosted three EUSA Championships in the past, including the 2007 Handball Championships, as well as the Badminton and Volleyball Championships in 2019.

EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES GAMES 2024 DEBRECEN AND MISKOLC, HUNGARY

The Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc will host the 7th edition of European Universities Games. The announcement was made at the EUSA General Assembly held in Madrid in April 2018. This will be the biggest University multi-sport event organised in Hungary after the 1965 Summer Universiade. Organisers expect more than 4 500 athletes to compete in 20 different sports. Miskolc has previous experience in hosting a EUSA event after successfully organising the 2017 European Universities Basketball Championships, while joint-hosts Debrecen will be hosting a EUSA competition for the very first time. As test events for the 2024 Games, Miskolc will host both the 2021 European Universities Badminton and Water Polo Championships, while Debrecen will host the 2021 European Universities 3x3 Basketball Championships.
