Heliski day with 2 flights - An exciting day of heli-skiing on the Grand Combin massif. This 4.300m high Swiss giant oversees the Aosta Valley and is visible from the town of Aosta. While the Grand Combin is located in Switzerland, the slopes on the Italian side of the massif provide descents with vertical drops from 700 to 1300 vm. Our ski area is delimited by the Mont Gelé and Glacier, the canyons of the Testa di By and the gentle slopes of the Col de Champillon. We will enjoy the snow on different slopes and your guide will lead you along the runs that are best suited to your abilities. The starting point of this exciting experience is the village of Glacier in the municipality of Ollomont (I). Taking off from 1550 m, we first fly up to the 3518 m of Mont Gelé. There are numerous landings in the basin of By that will allow us to take advantage of the different exposures in our search for the best snow. Since 2019, we manage in Ollomont an exclusive heliski area dedicated to lovers of off-piste and fresh snow, but above all, in the spring, it is fantastic to ski on the velvety snow. Snow information: Thanks to weather influences from the north, west and south, we can expect heavy snowfall during the winter. From February to mid-March we can find the best powder snow conditions and, thanks to the exposition, the fresh snow will stay for several days. At high altitude it is possible to ski until mid-May; with the complicity of snow and sunshine, from mid-March, snow quickly turns into a paradise for the lovers of "firn"). Maximize your Heli-Skiing time with our small groups: Small groups mean shorter waiting times between runs, so you can make the most of your time on the mountain. By using smaller, more agile helicopters, you can explore further and deeper into our majestic playground. We work with a maximum of 4 participants per mountain guide. Itinerary: The meeting point is usually at 8:30 a.m. in Glacier, a little village in the municipality of Ollomont (to check with the guide a day before). After the meet & greet, the guide will check and / or provide the safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and ABS backpack) and give you a safety briefing for rules and procedures to follow during the day (above all how to behave during boarding and landing). Once ready for the first flight, you will reach the helicopter and fly to the first destination of the day. Your guide will make sure you ski the most beautiful descents considering the highest safety standards according to the conditions of the day. You will experience the most exciting runs of the area, constantly looking for the best snow. If you wish, you can add extra flights to enjoy further descents. The day ends with a return flight, necessary to reach the valley where you can taste the typical dishes of the valley accompanied by a good bottle of local wine. Flight prices increase with a smaller group). The vertical drops depending on the landing place lie between 700vm and 1300vm. Additional costs: Additional helicopter flights (see point additional helicopter flights), transfer flights out of the area in case of insufficient snow conditions and high avalanche risk (see point additional helicopter flights), additional flight taxes (Euro 10,00 per person and flight), ski pass if necessary, rental equipment, lunch, drinks, and all other services are not included. Refund helicopter flights in a group of 4 participants: In the case of wind, bad weather or avalanche risk we refund 115.00 Euro per flight and person. No refund will be done in case of illness, accident, deficiency of physical shape – lack of condition, bad skiing level, late arrival and breaks during the skiing days.

Requirements: You will need to be a safe off-piste skier in all snow conditions and fit enough to cope with skiing off-piste up to 6000 vertical meters daily. Safe ski and snowboard technique in every terrain is essential. For group bookings, we can adjust to the individual skiing skills and group level.
