DAY 2 FRIDAY, JULY 17 Today we’ll travel across North Dakota and en route to Whitefish. Enjoy the scenery from your seat or from the dome car. Meals are available in the dining car or the lounge car before arriving in Whitefish this evening. ROCKY MOUNTAIN LODGE (2 NIGHTS)

DAY 3 SATURDAY, JULY 18 (CB, L ,D) After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll tour the area before ascending to the summit of WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN for lunch. We’ll take in the spectacular views of the valley and lakes below. End the day at a guest for a wagon ride and BBQ dinner.

DAY 4 SUNDAY, JULY 19 (CB, L ,D) This morning our local guide will introduce us to Glacier National Park. After a box lunch at Lake McDonald Lodge, we’ll take the famous REDS on the GOING TO THE SUN Road that offers spectacular views of the park. Tonight we’ll spend the night in which boasts clear views of some of the most majestic peaks in the world. This chalet hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. MANY GLACIER HOTEL (1 NIGHT)

DAY 5 MONDAY, JULY 20 (B, L, D) After breakfast, board the Chief of Two Guns across then on the to cruise Lake Josephine. Enjoy lunch back at Many Glacier before we board our bus to Waterton, . We will have a group dinner tonight at Waterton Lakes Lodge. WATERTON LAKES LODGE (2 NIGHTS) DAY 6 TUESDAY, JULY 21 ( B, L) After breakfast, we’ll drive north to Ft. Macleod where the Canadian Mounties had an outpost and today share their heritage with a musical ride on horseback in full uniform. After lunch, we’ll visit HEAD SMASHED IN Buffalo Jump, a world heritage UNESCO site where we’ll have a tour. Enjoy a free evening tonight in the quaint town of Waterton.

DAY 7 WEDNESDAY, JULY 22 (B, L, D) After breakfast at the hotel, we’re off to cruise Waterton Lake and sail back into the USA, crossing the 49th parallel. Back at Waterton we’ll have lunch at the famous , overlooking the lake below. After lunch, we’ll drive back into the USA for our overnight stay at the historic , its lobby lined with impressive Douglas fir logs. Tonight’s sumptuous dinner will be in the lodge dining room. GLACIER PARK LODGE (1 NIGHT)

DAY 8 THURSDAY, JULY 23 (B) After breakfast at the hotel, take a short walk to the AMTRAK station as we await the arrival of the EMPIRE BUILDER. The train departs mid morning as we settle into our comfortable reclining Whitefish Going to the Sun coach seats for our trip back to Minnesota. Lunch and dinner are available on the train again today Lake McDonald as we watch the scenery pass by. OVERNIGHT ON THE TRAIN (1 NIGHT)
