Windows Now He Sings, Now He Sobs (1968) Chick Corea began writing the Children’s Songs in 1971. They Children’s Song appear throughout his one or two at a time. The Children’s songs consist of short and simple themes. There is little You’re Everything Light as a Feather (1971) development in the pieces, which capture a variety of melodies and moods. The collection of 20 songs were released together in Humpty Dumpty The Mad Hatter (1978) 1984 in an called Children’s Songs. In the preface of the annotated version Corea stated that he aimed "to convey Children’s Song simplicity as beauty, as represented in the Spirit of a child".

As an international performing pianist and , Antonio Truyols has enraptured audiences across four continents at an incredibly young age. His performance credits include a six-city tour of north-eastern mainland China in 2012, including a residency at the Tianjin Grand Theater as the debut jazz performance in Tianjin. He recently received the Downbeat award for best jazz and was a semi-finalist in the Nottingham Antonio Truyols International Jazz Competition and in the Biennial Maurice presents: Gardner Composition Competition sponsored by The American Society. Unit Three, the piano trio founded and led by Truyols was invited to compete in the Bucharest International Jazz Competition in Romania. Competing against groups from around the world, many 10 years their senior, Unit Three received the prize of Best Band in the competition. Unit Three recently debuted Soul The Mad Hatter Encounters: Flamenco Meets Jazz, a fusion project in collaboration with Estela Velez and the D.C. based Furia Flamenca dance The music of Chick Corea company at the Atlas Theater in Washington D.C. and the Alden Theater in Fairfax, VA.

Truyols has performed at the French Embassy in Washinton D.C. with the Imaginary Friends Ensemble, a chamber ensemble of which he is a co-founder, consisting of piano, The Carolina Theater clarinet, and more June 12, 2012 recently the viola and uilleann pipes. As a member of the Capital Focus Jazz Band, Truyols has been well received at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in California and the Ascona Traditional Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Truyols has also arranged and recorded albums with Lee Konitz, John Ellis, Donny McCaslin, and Joel Frahm. He currently resides in Greensboro, NC where he is the music director at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant and the jazz piano faculty at the Music Academy of North Carolina.
