The Royal Ballet presents Onegin , a dramatic tale of love and loss based on Alexander Pushkin ’s verseverse----novelnovel Eugene Onegin . Choreographed by John Cranko for the Stuttgart Ballet in 1965 and first performed by The Royal Ballet in 2001 , the ballet follows the intense love story between Onegin and Tatiana, both roles demanding technical finesse and dramatic sensibility.
Jürgen Rose ’s stunning designs perfectly capture both the country-house environment of Tatiana’s youth and the opulent settings of upper-class 19 th century Imperial Russia. The ballet is set to an arrangement of music by

This revival features a number of role debuts from Principal dancers, Lauren Cuthbertson , and Yasmine Naghdi as Tatiana, Francesca Hayward as Olga and Ryoichi Hirano and Vadim Muntagirov as Onegin.
Thiago Soares returns as a Guest Principal to perform one of his signature roles in the lead of Onegin alongside Lauren Cuthbertson as Tatiana.
