The Lune Habitat Group started in 1998, and in 2008 became the Lune Rivers Trust. We are an environmental group of volunteers dedicated to the protection and improvement of the Lune Catchment. Over the past 13 years we have carried out over 80 miles of habitat improvements which help fish stocks by reducing pollution and by increasing available food and shelter. We have removed or eased manmade impediments to fish migration such as weirs, fords or pipe bridges and we have many more projects in hand for the coming year.

For more information visit www.luneriverstrust.org.uk or phone Sarah Littlefield, the Trust Secretary on 015242 22174 4 Fishing in Bowland The Ribble Rivers Trust

The Ribble Rivers Trust is a local environment habitat group set up to help the rivers and streams of the Ribble Catchment to recover their former condition and provide self sustaining fish stocks once more. The Ribble Catchment covers more than half of the AONB. Along with carrying out a series of projects to improve rivers and brooks for fish life, Ribble Rivers Trust also run an Angling Passport Scheme which opens up new waters bringing the joy of river fishing to more people. The scheme uses token payments and so is ideal for day visitors looking for somewhere new to fish. For further information visit www.ribbletrust.org.uk/passport/ribble/
