NSW State 5km Championships Mingara certainly brought it’s best to the NSW State 5km’s on the 14 th January with eight athletes competing across four grades. The evening started with a win to Michael Miles in the Men’s D grade in a personal best time of 16.41.29. Miles who ran from the front the whole race managed to win by 300m, which should lay the platform for a solid winter and some exciting results in the competitive masters age group. Charlie Brooks in the C grade held his own to finish 4 th , whilst Ian Temblett finished 16 th in the same event. In the B grade event Ed Perry, Brett Starkey and Andrew Land ran 6 th , 7 th and 8 th respectively in a sprint to the line. Perry, Starkey and Land all running personal best and with Cameron Page resting up 7 relays Teams this years at Country 1st Place following his recent 13.54 effort and other athletes and DQ’s all in good Fun!! focused on preferred events, our cross country relay teams should be a force this winter. In the women’s A grade 5km Jessica Mitchell th All sorts of Club Records in the Field to Allison Tucker long ran an exceptional race, with a 6 placing in a field that Triple and Discus, Mother and daughter!! Nina Emilio Long included three interstate athletes.
