Athletics WA supported Allana(The Wignall accompanying by paying Notes her form accommodation part of these Financial and conference Statements fees.) so she could accompany her athlete, Blake Phillips. Allana has developed into one of our senior throws coaches and now conducts throws clinics for Athletics WA.

Cross Country Season Athletics WA’s cross country season this year focused principally on the State Championship events due to the increasing variety of events conducted every weekend. The dedicated cross country officials again ensured the events were conducted in a friendly and welcoming environment.FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS 2011/2012 This season an incentive(The accompanying of $250.00 Notes was formoffered part to of anythese open Financial female Statements.) or male athlete who could win both the Long and Short Course events. Unfortunately no one was able to walk away with the money. The mens’ competition was always ‘tight’ with Roberto Busi winning the Long Course and Chris Dale winning the Short Course. Both were great results. The womens’ races again lack the competitive depth but both Amanda Sobie (Short Course) and Nera Jacob (Long Course) were worthy winners.

Competition numbers for the events were again an improvement from previous years.

This year only the North Beach Athletics Club hosted a cross country run. The traditional club runs are fast becoming part of our cross country history.
