MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF STATISTICAL SPECIALIST

The Philippine Statistics Authority Misamis occidental has shown a very promising growth in terms of personnel developments and work attitudes. Hence, the 2018 theme “Leveling Up” is truly in our hearts. We evolved from a well-known loser, emerged now as challenged worker, trying very hard to accomplish all our tasks on or ahead of deadlines even with inadequate Staff. We never fear seatbacks nor disappointments. We just go on our own journey even others are finding faults in us. Every experience – good or bad – is a great teacher. Because we knew that even the most accomplished people sometimes suffer setbacks. The more the bitter the lessons, the greater the success will be.

The year 2018 is the luckiest year for us. The number “8” truly symbolized an upturn of the province as the first quarter gives us honour in our hardwork when we got the PSA award “Best in Statistical Operation” and “3 rd Place in Partnership and Linkages”. It awakens our courage that we can do it. It makes us strong to continue to grow and do the best we can to achieve more in our work and boost for quality outputs.

We are striving and aiming for a higher standard both in Statistical Operations and Civil Registration Services, thus we are committed to deliver world-class and quality statistics and civil registration services to our clients and stakeholders.

Accomplishing our scheduled tasks is not just our focus. We are also concerned on our environment. We worked-out some share on earth preservation like planting trees and mangrove, and coastal clean-up. We are also sharing our limited resources to nourish children through classroom feeding activities because we believe that children are our future descendants. They will be the one to continue our mission.
