• DSWD-10 has 1,000 family food packs ready for distribution, however, additional food packs will be made available if needed. This will be released through community kitchen system at the affected LGUs thru their local Social Welfare and Development Teams (SWADT). • PNP Ozamis City, Police Provincial Office and Police Regional Mobile Group intensified security surveillance operations in the coastal areas of Misamis Occidental due to the alleged information that MILF members are enroute to the said areas • PDCC Misamis Occidental and CDCC Ozamis led by Gov. Loreto Leo Ocampos extended assistance and support by augmenting their Rescue Units and pump boats to assist in ferrying out evacuees from the affected areas of Lanao del Norte to Ozamis City • PDCC Misamis Occidental released 100 sacks of rice, 50 cartons sardines, 50 cartons noodles to victims/IDPs • PDCC Lanao del Norte conducted response and relief operations. Elements from the Task Force “Tabak” of the Philippine Army and PNP Lanao del Norte launched pursuit operations and secured the people and passenger buses stuck along the highway of the affected municipalities enroute from Iligan City to Ozamis City and Kapatagan

Sarangani Province • Per report form Gov. Dominguez, a pharmacy and the Maasim Municipal Hall were also attacked by believed to be elements of the MILF resulting to the ransacking of the said facilities and 2 dead civilian casualties • Six (6) barangays were affected wherein around 328 families or 1,640 persons were forced to evacuate in various designated evacuation centers • The South Cotabato Electric Company II Transformer was reportedly totally damaged due to the incident

South Cotabato • On August 12, 2008, 17 suspected MILF attacked Brgy Ned in Lake Sebu and took 3 Garan rifle, 1 M14, 1 Caliber 45 and 2 ICOM-02N from the CVOs. • About 400 families were evacuated from 9 sitios and stayed at Ned Elementary and National High School while others opted to stay with their relatives • Five (5) persons were reported dead due to the incident. • Distribution of relief goods was hindered due to road condition
