This could have easily have been 3-0 but for the Tiverton Goalkeeper staying big and saving both efforts. At this level of football, as you know, you have to make those chances count. The Tiverton Goalkeeper was given ‘Man of the Match’ deservedly by his own supporters for his first half performance and kept them in the game.

Second half was the complete opposite and to concede three again all in the last twenty minutes was not good enough and the boys were told that afterwards.

BRYNLEY HAS A BALL

WALTON CASUALS v HARROW BOROUGH Monday 26th August – BET Victor Southern Premier League

Although the result didn’t go our way against Tiverton at the weekend, our official matchday mascot Brynley had a fantastic time behind the scenes.

The young man, smartly dressed in full Casuals kit, had a look around the areas that most fans don’t get to see. The treatment room thankfully wasn’t too busy, then it was on to the home dressing room where Brynley met all of the players and management before getting his Casuals ball signed by all of the players. A kick around on the pitch followed, testing the keeper with a few shots before playing some neat one-twos with Stanley the Stag.

Than it was onto the serious stuff. Leading out the team alongside skipper Alex, who did a great job of looking after the young Stag, Brynley took part in the customary handshakes with the opposition before a photo with Alex and the officials in the middle of the pitch. He wasn’t done there either, as he was asked to draw the winning ticket in the half time matchday raffle.

A big thanks to Brynley for being such a great mascot on what was a superb day for the young lad, he has plenty of memories to take with him and his signed ball as a memento.

Matchday mascot packages are available for children aged 6-12 for just £25 and all mascots get a free football to get signed.
