Novartis Science Scholarships $3,000 Scholarships Available for 2011-12

The Independent College Fund of New Jersey (ICFNJ) is currently accepting applications for the Novartis Science Scholarship for the 2011-12 academic year. The deadline for receipt of applications is June 30, 2011.

The Novartis Science Scholarship recognizes and rewards undergraduate science majors at ICFNJ’s member colleges and universities by awarding $3,000 scholarships to qualifying students. Eligible candidates must:

 be enrolled at an ICFNJ member college or university;  be entering their junior or senior year;  be majoring in a science field;  possess a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or better;  have conducted or be planning to conduct independent scientific research.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and awards will be made to those students who best meet the selection criteria. Eight awards will be made for the 2011-12 academic year.

To apply, applicants should submit a completed Independent College Fund of New Jersey Scholarship Application Form along with the required supporting documents. Please note that all applicants must submit a brief explanation of an independent scientific research project they have conducted or are planning to conduct. Applicants’ plans for independent research will be given special consideration in the application review process.
