He went for 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals - all team highs - at Syracuse. He made 3-of-6 three-point attempts and played 38 minutes. The 20 points are three off his career high, established last Feb. 23 for Incarnate Word at Lamar. His three steals matched his career high. Three days later, he scored 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting and added seven assists and six rebounds in 38 minutes at St. John’s. STEPPING UP AT ST. JOHN’S In addition to Murray’s contributions, several Broncs stepped up into new roles in a near-upset at St. John’s on Dec. 8. Rodney Henderson, Jr. scored 20 points to pace the Broncs’ offense, including 6-of-9 shooting from long range, while also grabbing five rebounds. Allen Powell scored a career-high 17 points in his first career start, while Tyrel Bladen posted career highs of 10 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals. REPLACING THOUSANDS Rider had four 1,000-point scorers move on from last year’s roster - grad- uating seniors Stevie Jordan and Tyere Marshall and grad transfers Freder- ick Scott (Boston College) and Dimencio Vaughn (Ole Miss). Vaughn was a two-time All-MAAC First Team selection, while Scott was a three-time All- MAAC Third Team honoree.
