CHICAGO AREA COUNCIL

January 2010

Dear Parent:

The Chicago Area Council wishes to ensure that every youngster registered in the Chicago Area Council will have the opportunity to take part in the benefits of a Cub , Boy Scout, or Venturer camp experience.

We will consider any application for Day Camp or any Owasippe Scout Reservation program. In keeping with Boy Scout philosophy, we ask that every effort be made by your Scout and his or her unit to provide a portion of the camp fee. Factors that are considered include participation in the Popcorn Sale and earning Camp Cash, and your unit’s participation in the annual Friends of Scouting Campaign.

Procedures for applying for a campership are:

1. Complete the campership application form leaving no space blank.

2. Submit the application form to: Chicago Area Council Boy Scouts of America 1218 W. Adams Street Chicago, IL 60607

3. Campership applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to attending camp.

Questions regarding the campership program can be addressed by calling (312) 421-8800, extension 226.

We sincerely hope to see every Scout in one of our camping programs this summer.

Yours in Scouting,

H. Charles Dobbins Scout Executive/CEO
