The United Saddlebred Association-UK has two sets of judges – those that are qualified to judge American Saddlebreds and also a list of Breed specific and Foreign Breed judges, which shows may wish to use if affiliating to USA-UK and running Foreign Breed classes under USA-UK Show Rules.
For purist and breed specific classes, show organisers are recommended to contact the various breed societies directly for a list of their current judges.
Judges wishing to become American Saddlebred Panel Judges are invited to contact USA-UK for further details – a probationary period / judges conference may be required.
Judges wishing to be added to our list of Foreign Breed judges are invited to send their CVs to USA- UK. Panel judges already on other Foreign breed specific lists (e.g. GB-PRE, FHA-GBI etc.) will be favourably considered.
The majority of our judges are multi-panel judges and so are qualified to judge other breeds & classes (e.g. VHS, BSPA, BApS, BMHS, TGCA etc.) – we understand this is important for shows and events wanting to make full use of their booked judges knowledge.

Judges must be selected from our Panel – if none are available then other approved panel judges may be used – please contact USA-UK in these circumstances with details of the proposed alternative judge(s).

*1 Please delete as appropriate – indicate if the show is judged under AMERICAN or ENGLISH rules and if being judged English please specify in the class description if horses are being stripped in the ridden class(es). Please also indicate within the schedule if Traditional tack is permitted for ridden classes (automatically allowed for American rules, but at show’s discretion for English rules) - this is Heritage Foreign Breed attire and usually includes non-safety headwear.
