American Saddlebred Division All American Saddlebred entered must be registered with the American Saddlebred Horse Association or the Canadian American Saddle Horse Registry. They must be entered in their full registered names with registration numbers and under the name of owner(s) of record with the ASHA or CASHR.

A copy of the registration papers showing proof of ownership, or a copy of the registration papers with a Certificate of Eligibility to Show issued by the ASHA must be submitted with the entry form at the time of making the entry. The copies will be returned when you pick up your exhibitor numbers if requested. (Horses shown in USEF Regular Member Shows prior to December 31, 1973 are exempt.)

Owners and trainers of horses participating at USEF recognized competitions in all Saddlebred sections must be members in good standing with the American Saddlebred Horse Association, Inc.

ASHA JUNIOR Challenge Rules EXHIBITOR DRIVING Rules for Eligibility: 1. Horse must be a ribbon winner (ANY placing) in CHALLENGE FINALS two official qualifying classes in the same division Show to be eligible to compete in that respective division Country Pleasure Driving of the Finals, i.e., a horse must compete in two Country Pleasure Driving qualifying classes to be UPHA American Royal eligible to compete in the Country Pleasure Driving National Championship Challenge Final. 2. Open to all English Equitation walk/trot riders twelve (10) years of age and over with a mental or physical handicap riding a mare or gelding of any breed. Rider may never have been judged at a recognized or non-recognized show at a canter.

Tournament and academy classes are included as non-recognized shows. All contestants must work as a group (or in groups) of twelve (12) or less on the rail and complete an individual workout. All riders must compete at the walk and trot both ways of the ring and line up. Riders will remain in the line- up inside the ring throughout the individual workout portion of the class. The individual workout for the Championship will be the mandatory workout required in the qualifying class.

Phase II – Following rail work, the Top Ten riders shall be chosen for the awards presentation ceremony. From that group a Champion and Reserve Champion shall be tied. Trophy and 10 Ribbons
