Professor Thomas Klapoetke - Visiting Professor in Chemistry and ME Center for Energetic Concepts Development THE GIFT OF PEACE TREE China and the United States formally established diplomatic ties on January 1, 1979. To mark this 30th anniversary of diplomatic relationships, and as part of the China-U.S. sculpture exchange, the Beijing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese donated the Peace of Tree.
