The Honorable Bob Dole United States Senator 141 Hart Senate Office Bldg. Washington, D.C. 20510 Dear Senator: I would truly be grateful if you would assist me with a very special request. I sponsor a program called Congressional Classroom, involving one high school junior from each school in my Congressional district. This program was begun in 1978 by former Congressman Andy Ireland and my plan is to continue with it during my term as Florida's 13th District Representative. This year's group of 14 students and their chaperons will spend the week of May 22-28 in Washington watching our government in action. One of the highlights would be the opportunity for them to meet with a number of Senators and Members of Congress. I would be honored to have you participate. We are having a luncheon on the Senate side on Tuesday, May 25 in Room 385 of the Russell building. It would be great if you could plan on stopping by for about 15 minutes between noon and 2:00 pm that day. We would ask you to say a few words and then give the students the opportunity to ask you some questions. I know it would be an event they would never forget. Tricia LaMorte of my staff will be in touch, but if you have any questions in~the meantime, please don't hesitate to call me. Kind regards. .. Sincerely,

DM: tll ~
