FIELD EXPERIENCE  PhD thesis field work (59 days): Structural mapping of the Coastal Cordillera over the northern and central portions of the 2010 Mw8.8 Maule, Chile earthquake (2010 – 2013).  Geological evolution of the Rio Grande rift: Field trip conducted by Chris Andronicos (now at Purdue University) (March, 2010).  Field assistant to Pamela Perez (now Ph.D. student at PUC) helping in her undergraduate thesis research field trip in Puyuhuapi (Aysén Region), Chilean Patagonia (January, 2008).  Field Assistant to Thomas Walter (GFZ, Potsdam) and the GFZ Volcano Tectonics group installing seismic stations to monitor the Lastarria volcano, northern Chile (January-February, 2008).  Field Assistant to Monika Sobiesiak (now at Christian-Albrechts Universität, Kiel Germany) and the GFZ, Potsdam task force installing seismic stations after the 2007 Mw7.7 Tocopilla, Chile earthquake (December, 2007).  Undergraduate thesis field work (30 days total) on structural geology of the volcanic arc of northern Chile at ~23° S (2006 – 2007).
